Which CPU ?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy parts to get a pc custom built. Can anyone tell me which is better between INTEL and AMD and which will be best with other system components listed ? (Components are Listed Below)
I'm looking to use the PC for gaming on COD, Alien's Versus Pred etc but I only have a system build budget of $1200 or roughly £600....

Other components that will be in the system: (I have picked the components for a INTEL DUAL CORE CPU and I know that some of these components are not compatible with AMD processors but I will find the equivalent for an AMD CPU if told that AMD is better. )
