Processor Ryzen 5900x | Ryzen 1920X
Motherboard Asus ProArt x570 Creator | AsRock X399 fatal1ty gaming
Cooling Silent Loop 2 280mm | Dark Rock Pro TR4
Memory 128GB (4x32gb) DDR4 3600Mhz | 128GB (8x16GB) DDR4 2933Mhz
Video Card(s) EVGA RTX 3080 | ASUS Strix GTX 970
Storage Optane 900p + NVMe | Optane 900p + 8TB SATA SSDs + 48TB HDDs
Display(s) Alienware AW3423dw QD-OLED | HP Omen 32 1440p
Case be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 rev 2 | be quiet! Silent Base 800
Power Supply Corsair RM750x + sleeved cables| EVGA P2 750W
Mouse Razer Viper Ultimate (still has buttons on the right side, crucial as I'm a southpaw)
Keyboard Razer Huntsman Elite, Pro Type | Logitech G915 TKL
So I have:
- 2x Stock fans that come with H80
- 2x Noctua NF-P12
- 2x Coolermaster R4 Blue LED
- 2x 38mm Ultra kaze fans (I got fan controllers if needed)
- 2x Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Maru 2 140mm (fits only in 120mm fan holes) medium speed (http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=48770&vpn=SM1425SL12M&manufacture=Scythe) or I can exchange them for the high speed ones if needed

The stock fans keeps my i7 3820 @ 4.5Ghz at 60C max, under 70C (~68) at low. I'm comfortable with both those temps for now. I think I set it up so that it takes cool air from outside and dumps it in the case though, so either I leave my side panel off or I should switch?

I don't mind noise when I'm alone in the house with headphones, but otherwise, the most important is to keep the temps, let's say ~65C, but at low noise levels, ie: a nice balance between noise and airflow. I think I'll be satisfied with any of these fans, but I'd like to have the best one for me without trying them all out

Also, I'm looking for 140mm fans (with 140mm fan mounts) with very low noise with decent airflow, kind of like the noise level of the Kaze Maru 2 (medium) ish, big bonus for Blue LEDs

Id go with the 38mm ultra Kaze's, since they are 38mm they have a lot higher static pressue then any of the other fans listed.

and since youre running them in push pull... you Im guessing you wont even need them spinning that fast to get good results

but do they scale well with lower rpms? an ultra kaze @ 1200~1400rpm probably is noisier for the same airflow as, say, the kaze maru 2 no?

I used to run Ultra Kazes, for about a week, quite awhile ago. They spun fine at lower volts, but made the characteristic "clicking" noise that poor quality 38mm fans make at lower volts. I think I still have a youtube of them.

EDIT:

Sure do

Good thing just one ultra kaze is more then sufficient for a H80 :p just pick the one that doesnt click.

True enough. As you could hear, the noise wasn't deafening, by any means. Most people probably wouldn't even care. I'm kind of a quiet fan freak, among other things:laugh:

I have so many fans, putting some that click wouldn't make sense... I'll try them anyways and hope they don't click, else I'll try my noctuas, if I'm not happy I'll try the kaze marus (140 mm with 120 holes) since I can always give them back
