Which LED monitor to choose ?

hello all .
im going to buy a 23" monitor , and i dont know which one to choose .
my available choices are :
Samsung PX23700
Asus MS238
Asus ML238

i dont know which one to choose , can anyone help me out ?
and by the way whats the differences between Asus MS and ML series ? which one is better?

I would go with the Samsung.

Also: check out the BX line of samsungs. They have awesome value for price.

The BX2331 and BX2341 (my 24" favorite ) are great. I liked the 24" so much I got 3 of them for eyefinity. Highly recommended. Fair warning though: no VESA

a casual gamer maybe .
(my brothers play games but not me , im mostly doing coding ) .
but why? are current monitors not good enough for today's games?

120hz monitors are way too expensive at this point for the same response times eg. 2ms. 60hz is more than enough for any gamer out there, I doubt there will be too much to notice beyond 60hz anyway.

I would suggest to go with the Samsung, mainly because I've owned their products long enough to confidently say that they don't deliver short of anything.

The only thing I can see that's a difference between the MS and ML series from ASUS is that the ML swivels and tilts whereas the MS (and the Samsung) only tilt. All this means is that you'll have to turn the monitor to twist it sideways as opposed to twisting the monitor on the stand. I'm not sure if that's a big deal to you, but it's something to consider.

The last thing to note is that it looks like the Samsung is more power efficient. It uses 25W and the both ASUS models use 33.

Reviews say that 120Hz is a noticeable difference over 60Hz in gaming.
Plus you are open to 3D.
IMHO its not worth to save up in monitor choice as its one piece of your computer that you don't have to change every CPU socket.

MS had lots of problems with its stands, and ASUS listened to the ppl and released the ML model

Is the ASUS VE248H available in your area?
It appears to be new here, appears to have good specs and it's at a really good price.

After the issues I have had with my Samsung I am reluctant to get another.
Ghosting with HDR on bright colours, image retention, cheap capacitors, one of which bulged and failed.
Eventual dead pixels.

i had bad luck with samsung too , but i've also heard of its quality monitors .
anyway, there are only VE228 and VE270Q monitors ,(plus those MS 238 and ML238 monitors)
