Hello,

I would suggest looking for the cheapest available graphics card with 2GB of memory. The trend at which games are going, you are likely to need 2GB VRAM at least in order to get decent performance, as more and more games are using higher amounts of the VRAM buffer. AFAIK, one of the best "bang for your buck" cards is the GTX 650 Ti Boost, despite being a few generations old. If you can find a 2GB GTX 650 Ti Boost (look especially for the Boost bit), then you'll have a great card that should last you a good amount of time.

If I were to recommend a card off of that list, my question would be for what games and what resolution?

As you can see, performance is not that great with R7 250 (http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/1...d-intel-clobbers-amds-apus-in-budget-gaming/2)

What kind of budget have you got? Perhaps we could suggest you a good build that maximises your budget for a gaming rig.

Kingston HyperX Predator (2x4GB) DDR3 2133MHz or Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) 1600Mhz

Whichever one is cheaper - to be honest, you would be fine with 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 RAM.

EDIT - the only thing to look out for is whether the height of the RAM heatsink will affect the usage of a high-quality air-cooling CPU cooler. The Predator and Vengeance RAM heatsinks are pretty tall tbh.

Just remember, you can't really OC a non-K CPU, which is completely fine. I (used to until my motherboard died) run my FX-6300 at stock and still powered through like a beast.

Just because you can't overclock it, doesn't mean you can't buy at least a CM Hyper 212 for much quieter computing. The stock Intel (& AMD) heatsinks can get very noisy under load, even at stock speeds. The performance of a non-K CPU though is still very good without having to ever overclock.

Maximum shared memory in asus is 512MB but its 1.7GB in MSI

I'm gonna use Intel Core i5 - 3.5GHz - 4690 and G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3

You don't need to worry about shared memory when you have a dedicated GPU, as it has its own dedicated video memory. There isn't too many differences between the two motherboards, except the MSI is a smaller size (m-ATX), and the ASUS one has two potential PCIe x8 slots for the ability to do a dual GPU setup. I would personally choose the ASUS simply for that feature.

You could also keep in mind that R7 260X is better that a default GTX 750 but worse that a 750 Ti.
Search for prices and you may be selecting the 260X.

I can't say something definitive since I don't really know what prices can you get for those cards.

I'm using stock and if you apply the thermal paste correctly, it's not that bad. Fan stays pretty quiet.

Stock AMD heatsink is much better than the Intel ones, so if you have an Intel its best to go aftermarket if you can afford it. Best to go aftermarket regardless.

I'd say an i3+non-Z motherboard or G3258+Z97 board and whatever GPU you can put in the budget.

The G3258 can run fine with a decent OC on the stock cooler, and paired with a 660, 750Ti or 270 runs pretty nicely in most games.
