So I have a geniune copy of 64 bit Windows 7 Pro, and am going to format my computer and install it. What should I do out of the two options I have:

1. Get the second 500GB 7200.12 I got downstairs, RAID it with my current one and install W7
2. Get the five 160GB 7200.10's I got downstairs, RAID them all and install W7. This requires me to swap out my HD4850 with the 4830 I got tho, due to case limitations.

I will prob get a new case and crossfire the 4830 and 4850. But im not really fussed on graphics atm, just want speeeeeeeeeeeeed lol.

Get the second 500GB 7200.12 and stick them in RAID0 with either 64kb or 128kb stripe. Theres not much diffrence between the two so its all down to personal choice.

Then if needed put a 160GB as a backup drive/extra storage space on it own. thats how i would do it :)

Dont need the extra storage or backup, I got the matx as my data pc and the server to do all my backups.

ATM my computer has 100 of 500GB used space, mainly on games and the OS. (If I had anything important on it, I wouldn't consider running 5 hd's in raid

Just wondering if anyone has first hand exp. with running multiple hdds in raid and whether or not its worth it. I mean I have run two hd's in raid0 before and liked the extra speed, but wondering how much 5 would do.

I'd say go with the two 500's, I'm pretty sure those older 160's aren't nearly as quick or quiet as the 7200.12's.
