So I just put my new rig together and I am wondering which to believe as far as my CPU temps go

MoBo is a P67 Sabertooth and CPU is an i7 2600K. Now I installed the ASUS Suite II and I would normally use AIDA 64 for system monitoring.

ASUS Suite II is showing my idle temps at say 23C and AIDA is showing 10C more. Who is right?

I mean I trust AIDA as I have been using them for many years(Everest)

Just not sure what to believe as I would think ASUS's own program would provide accurate measurements.

NB: Disregard my current sig Specs they are now obviously out of date my System Specs have been updated.

Hi

Asus Suite II may have a bug, what dose it say in your bios? either way your idle temp is o.k

They both could be correct, if they are reading different temp sensors.:D

Use something like RealTemp to read the actual core temperatures of the CPU, and even those aren't 100% accurate(especially at idle).

Yeah the BIOS is going with the higher temp. (30's). I will give Realtemp a go and see what it has to say. I just don't want to start overclocking until I am sure of temps. Don't wanna burn out my new toy :p

I am using the original watercooling from my Kandalf L.C.S. case that I bought a new bracket for and I am just a little skeptical it's doing a good job considering it easily kept my old Q6600 just a few degrees above ambient. This is a 10C difference on the high side. The lower temp in ASUS Suite makes more sense on water.
