    3320 FTW
It's still 45nm like your current chip but it's a server chip. There are many people here that who can vouch for how great Xeons are. <<<looks at TRT>>>

Aren't the Xeon equivalents of the new Quad cores slightly cheaper?

and also, they don't work in certain mobos...

It will be going into a "eVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1"

Based on NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI Chipset chipset
Supports Intel Core 2 Extreme, Intel Core 2 Quad, Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium EE, and Pentium processors
    1333/1066/800/533 Mhz Front Side Bus

So i figure they should work together pretty well with this mobo.

Xeons, although they may share the same architecture as their workstation brethren, often come from a production run with slightly more demanding QC, since clients building servers often require the most stable of hardware. The difference is usually minor, and undetectable to most users, face it, most processors are pretty fair quality, and stable. If you have the opportunity to get a Xeon than go for it.
