I tried the link on my other computer, after logging in, and it displayed fine. Maybe it only shows because I logged in and it's the free trial version.

Anywho, here's my copy/paste. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

I went into my BIOS and saw the memory was running at 133mhz (this is old PC2100). I upped the speed to 166mhz and it wouldn't boot. I put in 1 memory stick at a time until it would boot, and it booted off my small 256meg chip at 166mhz. I reran the tests and my CPU score went up to:

1124 against 924

My 3DMark only went up 15 points from 1616 to 1631. I'll try clocking it up to 200mhz and seeing if it will boot and how much faster it will run. It's pretty sad, but I have the slowest CPU scores on the sight LoL!

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Check your chipset drivers, KT600 has issues sometimes. Get the new Hyperions. Soyo is not a great mobo mfg, but I've used thier boards and never had problems. There is something definitely wrong there.
Disable the onboard video (if applicable) too.
Do games play well, or just 3Dmark running poorly?

Yeah, I can't believe that even though you have that motherboard it would perform that poorly... Look at my sig scores and my 9600XT doesn't come close to the 6600GT. I don't even think the RAM could be that big a difference though... It can really be chipset drivers. You did install them didn't you? ;) I've noticed an increase in performance of almost 200% when I installed my chipset drivers after I forgot once after a format.

The answer is rather simple.

The 6600GT (and I think all new GF cards) have an auto-option that will rub 3D-applications in full speed, and 2D on low-power speed or such.
And for some reason, 3Dmark is seen as 2D. I think this is because if you load 3Dmark,
it will retrieve all data from your PC, and lock it.
You can try it easly, just declock, run 3dmark to startscreen, overclock, and run the test. The test will be run@declocked speed.

My brother had the same thing, you just have to install coolbit (or what is it called),
so you can change the settings. Or even better, get rivatuner! * www.guru3d.com *

it may be right, not sure. But so far, I haven't seen anyone using 6600GTs with this probs before. Anyway, what graphic card were you using before you changed to this card? It could be due to remnants of the previous graphic card driver that wasn't removed properly. Its likely to result in weird results. Try using Driver Cleaner to remove the previous driver fully in safe mode. :)

I had a fx5900xt that had that feature in the Nvidia drivers. It was a 2D option and a 3D option. Both with different clock speeds. So yes it is there. But that would not cause his problems. Even at stock speeds the card should be faster than what it is. Yes you will still have to install coolbits to unlock that overclocking features.

i just need a new cpu and better cooling then i can take you! :D

I'll post my new compare url for ya when I get my 850 back from ViperJohn. He sent me an email last night saying he was shipping it today. Stable clocks on it are 647/630 but I'll test as I as I can get it. My cpu is running prime95 stable at 4.2Ghz now, an 800Mhz new personal best, instead of the 4.0 in that old benchmark. The new speed is only for benchmarks. Its too hot for my tastes (68C). I'll declock it to 3.9 or 4.0 for heat reduction in normal use. This X850 will likely be the secondary card in an AMR/CrossFire system sometime after it's released later this year, and there are available R520 cards (Yes I am going to be an ATI fanboi, and get their chipset). Anyway 3DMark05 scores are supposed to be less CPU dependent than the 03 version, but new AMD cpus are at the top of the ORB lists with SLR and super cooled CPUs. Depends on what CPU you go to. You could take me easy with any slightly overclocked newer AMD. I only have a 3.4Ghz 650 P4 atm.
