Win 7 Services

Ok, In the past with XP n Lower I would disable certain services using services.msc n i know it was safe in XP.

What services in Win 7 HP SP1 can i disable without causing any trouble, it was apart of my system optimization back in the day.

I know about black viper n all but wut do all you guys do?

*shrug* it's totally subjective.

I disabled parental control, offline files, server, workstation, computer browser, remote registry, secondary logon etc. Because I don't need them. .Net services are set to manual mode.

I also disabled printer spooler, smart card, smart card removal policy (because I don't have them)

If you're into this you might like GameBooster which can even be set (in the new free beta) to close explorer when you launch a game!

I like it anyway. You can tell it which services to shut down but it does try and guess too.

It seems to be a bit of a mess at the moment; I once tried to disable Power Options and all of a sudden Windows Audio became unstartable..... so you can if you want to, but don't be surprised when something stupid and undocumented screws up.

How many processes you running? Currently, I'm running 46 including task manager and my wireless adapter working(I honestly don't know what the average running processes would be for Win7 Ult). I have a cracked copy of Win 7 Ult I got from a torrent and I believe it has been tweaked for performance aswell. I could post a pic of my task manager if you would like.
