Wonder about 3dmark06 cpu test with modern cpu

Why cpu test in 06 still lag (2-3fps) with modern cpu like haswell and why it perform worse on fx system , is it heavily rely on floating point ?

For 3dmark11 or firestrike my 4770k do 33-35fps in physics test. So much better than 06.

I think my bios actually has a work around for either 01 or 06 in CPU tests. I thought it was weird.

Ha and to think back to the day I was using an AMD 6400 dual core black edition cpu and was happy to see 3 fps in the cpu test.

Now with a quad core overclocked I see 5 maybe 6 fps for a split second. I think it needs to be given an update for current systems because it's still one of my favorite benchmarks.
