    Yup, it's like T-54 on steroids. :)
Unfortunately I'm not an medium player but I like it as much as I liked THE T-54.

if you dont have free xp to research all upgrades better dont buy it. start gun is 88/l56 usless in t10 battles in which you will be placed most of the time. w/o tracks and engine it moves like vk36 with better top speed (sadly only down hill).

You should be able to get the long 88 from elsewhere, that gun is pretty powerful even for a tier 8.

I am now grinding slowly towards Batchat (should get it within 2+ months at this rate), and at the meantime I am looking for another tank to grind towards. Are the British T8+ med/heavy any good? I know they bleed credits, but I don't mind if they are fun to drive.

    Options (choose 1):
GwPanther (and stop there, I hear that is the end of the easy to play German arty line)
Comet + Black Prince to British Tier 8 med/heavy (and stop where?)
Finish Tiger II and start on E75 to E100
Start VK4502A and get Maus (less than ideal given that E100 is better regarded and I am doing Tiger II)
Start Indien Pz and get Leopard (Don't have spare German med crew unless I port my PzIV crew over or retrain from either Arty or heavy, so if tank is crew dependent not a likely option)
Finish Ferdi and get JT (if JT is more cumbersome than Ferdi I don't think I will be going down this route)
Grind towards T71 (and stop there)

E75 is very hard to kill tank, had a hell lot of fun playing him, E100 with gold ammo is best tier X tank in the game , 6-7k damage is nothing strange with this tank.
Jagtiger is also fantastic, I have 2k + efficency (best of all tanks I have) and over 300 battles with him, gun makes 3k damage per minute, great precision and pen gun, and jagpz E100 just 2.5k.
For great fun I recommend to go WZ line, WZ131 and WZ 132 are very fun to play, also that new american auto-loader line is great T71 and T69.

One vote each for E75/E100, JT and T71. Is JT slower and more cumbersome to use than Ferdi? Will get JT if it is not more sluggish to Ferdi, will get T71 if it is, depending on when I get tired of Tiger II.

Jagtiger is almost same as Tiger 2, same speed and agility (in reality it was Tiger 2 without turret). Just stay back and snipe, be aware of arty because it just loves you... I cant compare it to Ferdi, because I drove jagpanter 2... T71 is a little evil if used right, at first just safe sniping and scouting, stay alive because it shines in second part of battle. Gun has 175mm pen so you can punch any T10 tank from behind and side. E75 has GREAT armor and it is quite cheap when it comes to ammo. Great damage per shell with same price as some T9 gun 320dmg per shell...

The Jagdtiger is my 3rd most played tank with over 1300 games and a crew with 4 perks/skills on it, top speed is lower than the Ferdi (same as Tiger 2), acceleration is the same, mobility is slightly better.

The gun on this tank is everything, if you snipe (if your team is smart enough to allow that) you will decimate any enemy force regardless of the tank they use.

    @Fourstaff
From your list what I have/played:
-E-75. It will never leave my garage. To be sure I bought him all 3 gold cammo. :D For me is the pinnacle of German steel in WoT. It's not perfect of course but it is imperial. :respect:

    - Conqueror. At last all the pain through Churchill's-BP pays off. It's a sexy tank with a nice gun. Yes it's prone to ammorack (not blown but damaged), yes is food for arty (once an S-51 took almost all my HP in a shot leave me under 100 HP) but is mobile with a decent gun depression and I like it.

    - TypE. Indeed GWTiger and TypE are the opposite compared with GWPanther. Big, slow, clumsy but with a decent reload/aiming/accuracy and a very nice damage/splash.

    - Indien-Pz. I'm playing it right now. It looks OK, one of the best mediums gun ingame.

About JT. I have a friend with 4k battles only in JT. He is a TD maniac. In the end he sold it. It was exasperated by fire and arty.

    1st - E75
2nd - T71 but don't stop there, T69 is awesome tank but only with premium ammo, but now you can buy them with credits (hence I don't call it Gold ammo any more), then you find yourself in a situation where you don't make any money but boy do you have some fun! you can easily loose 10-15K per game if you use credits to but ammo but of all the tanks I have played few have given me as much enjoyment.
3rd - GW Panther, but don't stop there! GW Type E is my 2nd favorite Tier 8 Arty (Object being first) and very good.

just my thoughts, we all play different so most of us value different options.

Looks like everyone loves E75. Will get it, but I will probably stick with Tiger II a bit more than necessary since E75 will bleed me credits and I don't have a lot of those ATM. So this leaves me with a conflicting view on the JT (probably not get then)

    Current plan:
    Get BatChat
Take my time to E75, hopefully I have earned enough to buy and run it by then
Get T71, it should play similarly to AMX 13 which I quite like. Hope the grind is good.
I have a feeling that I will buy GwP on impulse, or Black Prince. Either way, I think my options are pretty good regardless of which branch I take.

Currently my only active farming tank is PzIV derp, it causes massive problems even to KV1s which is supposed to be one of the better tier 6 tanks. Sniping with it at 300m is possible too, a nasty surprise for most. ELC is not used as widely now due to various reasons, and Cromwell is pretty hard to play when you are facing enemies which can take half of your tank even if you are the top tier. Hummel is money printing machine, but I sold it because it wasn't fun to play with anymore. Hitting 5k damage regularly and still lose because of lemmings is not my version of fun. I suspect gwp will be the same which is why I decided to stop there and look for other options. Might need to rebuy it if I need another farming vehicle.

BatChat is OK. Sometimes you'll have epic battles and sometimes you'll be a wreck in no time. Is a very situational tank.
    E-75 is E-75. :D
T71 from all my friends impressions is a very funny little bugger.
GWPanther was one of the most enjoyable arty which I've played.

So you're on the right track with your choices. :)

I know I'm bucking the trend, but with premium rounds being a regular part of the game and high tier games being afflicted with multiple 1K shot arties, the E75 is far from what it used to be. Armor is far less effective with premium round spamming + HEAT + the new high pen guns introduced. This does not mean that it cannot have some great games, but it is not a game changing tank any longer. The M103 or the AMX 50 120 are both better overall IMHO as they have the firepower and mobility that the E75 lacks and those attibutes are the way the game is going.

The T71 is an interesting little tank, probably the best of the tier scout and it can really pen and damage well too. It is quite fun to play, but just like any scout, a single arty shot or a KV-2 derp will absolutely ruin your game.

The tier 8 Brits med/heavy are very similar to one another. While they are good, they lack the overall great combination of attributes that the Cromwell has for its tier. The Cromwell is the shining star of the Brit lineup. The heavies are very blah until you get the Caer, then its like playing a slow med. The Centurian is OK, but really needs as bit more agility to be really good.

The bat is a lot of fun to play and really good players of it can wipe the floor. It can also die quick and lose money rapidly with poor play, also it helps to platoon with it as teammate support can mean far better survival/success rates.

The WZ line seems to be fun, when you get the higher tier guns for it.

The JT is a good tier 9 TD, but not the be all end all. The 704 is quite good and the SU-122-54 with the top gun is a pretty deadly sniper too. The T30 can deliver when in position, but the Foch is weak with its very slow aim time. Forget the Brits, nothing special at all about them at that level.

The T57 and T110E5 are both crushing tier 10 tanks, but overall tier 10 is quite broken in terms of gameplay with the overwhelming firepower and accuracy of arty and now that most tier 10 games have 3-4 tier 8 arty in them. Premium rounds and high pen guns have made armor far less effective overall in the game, which is a huge downer for variety in terms of gameplay. The E100 can be effective when played against a bunch of noobs, but against almost any other tier 10 other than the Maus, it is not really that competitve as meds will eat it alive. Armor angle is not the E100 strong suit and that is now the only real effective armor since thickness as an attibute has been nerfed so heavily.

The E75 is a great tank and not as expensive as the JT. Even winning you will probably loose money with the JT simply because of ammo cost and RoF.

The only tank worse than the M7 is the M3 Lee :D it's a painful grind to T21 which, if played right is a load of fun..... enjoy!

My attempts to widen my garage seems to be going rather badly. First I tried to go for the KV-1S, but got beached on the KV-1. Then I bought the SU-122-44, and don't really like that either. Now I'm trying to go up the USSR medium line, and fearing I may end up stopping already at the T-34. :S

Grind the kv1. Its not a bad tank once you know how to work with it. Get the kv1s then the IS, and then IS3. All good tanks if you like brawling. If you like absolute armour take a look at the British Churchill line. It has received a lot of flak for being shit but I think they are absolute beauties: able to dish out and take an ungodly amount of damage if you do the positioning right. Too slow for my patience at times which is why I sold them off.

I agree, the KV-1 is not a bad tank, it just never sat well with me, as I REALLY value my mobility. And also, being a big slow well-armoured tank made it a perfect target for prem derps. :S

But on to better things. I said "Fuck it!", and decided to put my T-28 crew into my T-34, so they went almost to 100%. I also took vents and a GLD with it. Now I suddenly like it. Didn't expect crew skills to be so critical. Never really noticed it when lvling up my SU-85B or my T-28 crew.

Once you get past that KV1S line is pretty fast. They are still slow lumbering heavies, but they are agile enough to be played as armoured mediums. Try the British medium if you want mobility (Cromwell is the epitome of mobile mediums), or the French starting from ELC. Grind to Cromwell can be suffering if you rely on your armour and health to tank damage rather than avoiding them. French light tanks before ELC are pocket heavies, I freeexp'ed pas them so I can't tell you much about them.

T34 is a good tank but derp Pz4 sucks the fun out of it. In fact I find tier 5 nothing more than derping everywhere. With PzIV I can fight properly even against tier 6 heavies (premium rounds), you should consider getting one. You will never go back to "regular" tanks after trying the derps.

French heavy line is very good once you have grinded through the tier 7 M45 thingy, from then on you get mobility, firepower and for a frenchie, even a bit of armour!
