WoW to be Banned in China?

The pro wow gamers would probably move to taiwan or europe to continue their reign. While the more serious wow gamers would consider to move out of china. The gold farmers are probably more forced to move out, because it is their job.

Oh right, I was just using an extreme example, also around the Olympics they basically just kicked homeless people out of the city and leveled peoples homes to create a new building. I don't watch too much news, but barely ever hear anything about them going out of their way to help "the people" unless it somehow benefits them.

Thats true, but they are people too. Some of them are happy with that life style, it's beyond me, but hey whatever floats their boat, they are still a citizen and deserve the same treatment as others.

And actually all this has to do exactly with the WoW issue. They are trying to shut it down because they don't think they are getting their full end of the cut. Not because of anything else like being addicting. They don't allow companys from outside China really doing anything there and now that they think Blizzard is, and is making some money that doesn't make them happy.

And that just goes on to show how ruthless they can be. If they want something done/implemented in their country, there's no stopping them. So if/when they do ban WoW, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Yeah, no doubt in my mind it will get banned, not a democracy over there, they want something done it's going to get done. This is going to be interesting to see though, China accoutns for half of those 11 million accounts, thats what 90 million a month they would cut from Blizzard. Still they would be raking in a lot, but really they are slow with new content as it is, I can't imagine taking a hit like that is going to help any.

Even if they evade a filter, they won't be able to play WoW, because China will be banning the company that handles subscriptions. Blizzard won't get its subscription money from Chinese over any legal channel. Sucks to be a Chinese WoW player.
