[FS] [WTT] kyle2020's GOLDEN Intel Q6600

Right, im after a bit of a change, and want to delve into some C2D delights. Im looking to swap this out for an E8400 or an E8500 - must be a low VID, 4.5Ghz possible chip (if not more). Please post some screenshots of its potential, etc. Looking for a straight swap, or I will be accepting cash offers.

The Q6600 is a G0 stepping variant, with a very low VID (1.2625V). As such it overclocks very well, I have personally got it bench stable at 4.05Ghz using a little over 1.5V.

24/7 clocks range at 3.2Ghz, 1.25V and 3.6Ghz @ 1.32V. Will run at stock frequencies on as little as 1v. Idles between 26 - 31 degrees across all 4 cores.

Comes with the full retail box + unused stock cooler.

naw really it sounds like a nice chip i know you've had it for ages so you want to try something else see if a jump in speed makes a difference

Yeah, just feel like a change of scenery - i know a Duo wont be as fast bench wise but tbh, COD:4 isnt a benchmark haha. Plus, the higher clocks will help with things that properly matter, such as boot times and so on.

Q6600 is overkill for a parent rig... lol. Mine have a 1.8GHz AMD Turion... lol. And they think it's fast :/

My E8600 is fits old chip, he got it to around 4.5 IIRC.

I have no idea if i want to trade though, i've not pushed this chip at all and don't really want to just yet. The only thing i would use the Q6600 is for the ol' SupCom.

hey kyle, do you have a screenie of the Quad at 4ghz at such low volts? i have one that has a 1.2375V VID and am looking to buy another golden Q6600 as they are hard to find, also I just picked up an E8500 but have not tested it to find high clocks yet highest i have tried on it is 4.1GHZ and it did that no problem at 1.325V also what board/chipset are you using?
