Oooh! An elitest club for the fabulously wealthy. Just want to seperate yourself from all us poor people huh. Just kidding I'm just jealous:) . I hope you enjoy the card, and you'll have to tell us all about it.:)

Seriously, does anyone here have one yet, I would like to hear what you think about it if you do.

my friend hsa the x1800 xt 512mb and he also owns a 7800gtx ko ........... though the gtx is faster than the x1800 he says but the quality of the graphics is way way better than the nvidia , ati really has noticeable improvement on their quality of graphics , and i saw the screens myself , i could really tell the difference , but however , i lvoe ati a lot the price tag on this baby is disheartening although money not beign a problem i still cannot justify spending 600 dollars on a card , where i can an equally faster card for 420+ dollars .............
so i am gonna enjoy my x800 xt pe for now , will wiat till some new stuff comes out moreover the likes of that rumoured 24pipe x1800

Currently I am running my "old miserable" X800XT PE AGP. Definitely I am not from these wealthy people that you speak for but for video hardware I always can do my best and to strain myself for "a certain" 500-600USD. The next upgrade will be for sure one of these honeys X1800XT or 7800GTX 512MB (or Ultra) but it is too early to say. I am more inclined to remain on ATI but for sure I will wait for the next revision of the core (R580) and probably X1800XT PE or X1850XT PE :D ? Only the time will show what will be....

honestly with the games out right now , u really cant tell the difference while playing them with either card , only the graphics are a lot better on the ati , HOWEVER when my friend benchmarked the cards is where we found out the gtx is faster ................ but during play i liked the ATI better cause i had everything maxed on the settings on both cards . and ati held its ground ...................... u also have to keep in mind ATI is only using 16 pipes vs 24 pipes , and it still manages to keep up pretty close to shoulder with the gtx

    According to AT's benches:

    BF2
    1600x1200 0xAA
    7800GT SLI..........101
    x1800XT...............98

    1600x1200 4xAA
    7800GT SLI...........88
    x1800XT...............82

    2048x1536 0xAA
    7800GT SLI...........94
    x1800XT...............68

    2048x1536 4xAA
    7800GT SLI...........71
    x1800XT...............56

    1900x1200 0xAA *no GT comparison
    x1800XT..............78

    1900x1200 4xAA *no GT comparison
    x1800XT..............63

    impressive ;)
Remember x1800xt price compared to gtx , x1800 is way cheaper than gtx , and they r pretty even right !!

i got a x1800xl about a week ago, still waiting for a decent stable OC tool that will also save my settings and load them at startup, using the beta "overclocker" tool but it doesnt save settings at startup and when i run memtest for a while i get a random beep and it resets settings to defaults, might have it OC'ed a bit too high, so much work to do ocing a new pc and building a waterchiller from a AC unit at the same time  stock benchmarks are lower than my 7800gt was though, but this card has a LOT more overclocking headroom

dont know, i never had a gtx only a gt, at stock speeds the gt benchmarks higher (about 300 3dmark05points, from memory so not much) but as has been said, this card overclocks insanely well

i got the XL, probably wont see the xt in Aus for quite some time, i dont know how the stock cooler performs as i ripped it straight off and put my waterblock on it but i can say it looks good with ruby on it :D and looking at the way its designed it should work alright, better than some stock coolers like the one on my 7800 anyway, still cant compete with my watercooling, especially with air from the AC running through my radiator 24/7 :)
