well. I would think you have a too weak CPU... I got a 3800+ and a x1800GTO, and the CPU was always in 100% load, playing or benching... so I needed a faster CPU.. bought a new x2 4200+, and I can see how well it performs compared to the 3800+ I think I suddenly can use my x1800GTO as it`s suposed to be used ;)

But also please note, that a dual core CPU will not give you any performance increase at the moment since games are single threaded apps.
Therefore, if you are looking for game performance, the single core might be better.
Benchmarks are a different story though since they include the CPU score as well.

hmm, interesting about the stability

the crashes in internet browsing is a common issue associated with a cpu or ram that is too overclocked/undervoltedm, but i think you may be seeing a pretty large psu issue here

the best advice i have for you is to swap out pieces one by one, leaving the gpu in there, and see if anything runs well for you. maybe put your x1900 in your friends comp

no, because it isn't

look at the gpu score for the aquamark, it goes down. it shouldn't do that, no matter how cpu "bottle necked" it is

i'm going to start getting angry, real angry, if people don't start to figure out what is meant by cpu bottle necking

ps - i just realized what i'm going to write my first tpu wiki on
