I just finished buying a Power Color X1900XTX and I popped in it and got everything going fine. The problem is that when I go into ATI Tray Tools or CCC it's only showing it clocked at about 500/600. Now I'm thinking that it's just clocked down in 2D apps and it kicks to it's full potential in 3D apps, but I'd like some confirmation. Thanks a bunch.

    Specs:
    Ultra V-Series 500WATT power supply
XION2-Black Case w/ front, side and rear fans all running.
    ASRock 939DualSATA2 Mobo
    AMD X2 4400+ CPU
1GB PC 2700 RAM (grrrr. OCZ better hurry up with my RMA)
    250GB Western Digital SATA2 Hardrive
    Power Color X1900XTX 512MB
    Pioneer DVD-ROM drive
    Yamaha 40x SCSI CD/RW burner

Yep, it kicks up in 3D games. Open up CS Source. Play for a sec, then press the windows flag key to minimize the game then check ATi Tool. It should display 3D clocks :)

Wow. Thanks for the quick response.

Unfortunately, when ALT-TABing ATI tool still only shows 500 on the core and about 600 on the mem. I guess this is because it's back in 2D mode. I guess I just need to trust that it's working. I could just force it to run always at the top values, but that might get loud.

Oh well. My FPS is decent so I'll just leave it alone for now.
