X800XL temp reading

Hi guys.

I just upgraded to ATI Tool 0.26 from 0.24 and noticed that temperature moniter isn't available now in the settings. Worked like a charm with 0.24 and liked the little temp display in the tray. I tried uninstalling, rebooting, installing, rebooting....no dice.

Anyone heard of this? Any settings in the registry to tell ATI Tool where to look for the data?

I've searched and searched and can't find an answer so here I am.

It shows the temperature just next to the 'scan for artifacts' button with my ASUS AX800 XL. Sapphire should do the same.

Did you try with GPU-Z to see if there is a temp. sensor on your card? Also are you using ATI Tool 0.27 Beta 3 or just the normal release??

Wow dude you make me not care anymore.

Forget it, problem solved with an upgrade to nVidia soon...maybe stuff works for them and if not maybe I'll find a useful forum for it.

Sorry, I guess he didn't. Try ATi Tool 0.27 beta 3 and see if that works. Otherwise, why not just stick with the version that worked?

Yeah that's what I'm doing now, using .24. I tried the .27 beta and still a no go. I just wondered if anyone knew if there was a way to force it to recognize my temp sensor because I like the features of .26 with the temporal AA threshold and all.

Anyways, thank you erocker. I guess my particular card is slightly different than others as it works with .24 as an X800GTO and X800XL but neither work in .26 or any of the betas. Oh well.
