[FS/FT][US] XFX 4890 and Sapphire 4890

Got my 6970 in a few days ago and I guess its time to sell these cards. They are still wicked performers and they pulled higher frames than my 6970 until I started ocin it. I used Catalyst 10.4 and they worked pretty damn well.

Sapphire HD 4890 - asking $100. It's the regular 2 x 6-pin connectors. I bought it new from Ewiz when I built my rig about 1.5 years ago. It got up to 980 core and 1150 mem but had it running 960 and 1100 at 1.35v.


XFX HD 4890 XXX - SOLD 1 6-pin and 1 8-pin connector. Got this from newtekie here on TPU a couple months back for crossfire. Its a great clocker on its own. This one could hit 1000 core and 1180 mem but for Xfire had them both at 950core 1100mem at 1.35v using MSI afterburner. Has XFX lifetime warranty confirmed by newtekie.

Both for $200.

I'll have to get back to you on the shipping cost. I can't imagine you'd save anything shipping that far but ill see what it comes to.

Also, I was under the impression that all XFX cards had lifetime warranties. I have not done any registration, is that something the original owner has done? How should I go about checking that?

Well, ring the first and original owner. If he registered the card within 30 days of the buy date, it has a lifetime warranty. If it breaks they'll replace it with something newer and better or give you a complete refund.

Yes check the shipping costs, I'm curious to see how much it would be. I've never bought online from America.

Alright, sorry for the delay. I had some family issues over christmas. the XFX does have the lifetime warranty.

Also, shipping to AUS would run $40+ usd for the sappy which is the bigger of the two. I can't imagine that would be a good buy for you. You could get something cheaper and better somewhere closer to you. If you do want one (or both) pm me.

I just looked it up to make sure, and I did in fact register the HD4890. So thanks to the dual-lifetime warranty program, whoever buys the XFX HD4890 will have a lifetime warranty on it.

I was actually debating selling my 6970 and keeping my 4890s if they didn't get picked up by the time I got home. I feel I jumped the gun on new graphics. Not that I'm unhappy with my 6970, but since 2 4890s have so much horsepower. I fell victim to the upgrade itch and I wanted DX11 and Morpho AA (because I love Dead Space and the aliasing was the only thing that bothered me with that game). I got both my 4890s for less than one 6970, if you remember when the 4890 came out it retailed at 200 and with rebates down to 180. Picked up the XFX here on TPU for decent price and loved it. Needless to say, I'll never spend over $200 on a GPU ever again. I'm not to thrilled about DX11 and I've run through both Dead Spaces numerous times now.

I may part out my entire rig here in a few months since I'm in the military and am hardly able to use it so it sits unused most of the time. Might pick up a Clevo 150 so I can bring it with me since my old Inspiron 9300 with Geforce 6800go isn't up to the task of newer games, but I still find myself spending most of my gaming time on games from 1996-2005 which my Dell is more than capable of.
