I have Ati tool and am just running the max mem tests and I see the temp on my logs to to 71deg. c on the GPU temp, I have yet to overclock this thing as it runs all games at max everything, but how hot will this GPU get before it self-destructs? I have a box stock ATI XT800pro, running at 1280X1024, 3.2ghz pentium running at 10% overclock on an asus mb, with 1gig of ddr ram.

70°C is probably the level at which you should stop overclocking, as heat damage might start to set int at even 75°C. GPU cores tend to be more heat tolerable than CPU cores.
