I imagine that is a good feeling but you know what is a better one?
To be part of a team of people that has the loyalty, charachter and honor to stick together when their site goes down temporarily.
You really see what people are made of when times get tough.

I believe some of the XS WCG TEAM are crunching on TPU now Dave.

Does your comments regarding loyalty, character and honor apply to them as well ??

WE actually have several, But Riptide is our Irish fluffer, Now the ohio boys have nothing on him as far as skill.............so we've heard.........

Several members of our team, including yours truly, are crunching for TPU for a few days as show of gratitude to TPU for being so welcoming and friendly to all of use refugees looking for a place to talk with each other.

So if your comment was meant to question our character and honor, I do believe you've answered your on question. :toast:

WOW, am I in the Democratic National HQ...

DAVE (aka MovieMan) made the comments Kevin, not me. So by reading the above quote from DAVE, it would seem he is questioning YOUR loyalty, character and honor...

Take it up with DAVE and kindly quit stirring the pot.

Hold on a sec big boy...you ain't talking that crap to me and getting away with it. Now I was cool with it all, and could get along on both sides. You want to get pissed about people leaving the team, get pissed at Charles for taking the site down without the common courtesy of letting people know what's going on.

As far as I was concerned, that site was gone forever and I add absolutely no evidence to the contrary. Be that as it may, all these WU's are still going to same place and cause, and that's where the true character lies.

So to somehow imply that the team I'm on now is somehow less than XS's, or that my character's in question because I chose to leave XS, is a cheap ass shot.

Bottom line, you want to get pissed at someone for all this crap, get pissed at the one that caused it, Fugger. Because here's one thing no one can question. Fugger might be the worlds best OC'r, but he absolutely sux ass at being a server Admin. He if he didn't know what he was doing, he should have left it alone.

    have a good one bud,

I always wonder why admins on PC Enthusiast sites like to tinker with their servers. They do it to a certain degree at Overclock.net as well...I think W1zzard has the best approach: host it. Site goes down 2 hours later it's back up. All this e-peen measuring with SSDs and constant upgrades is fine right up until it shits the bed...then you got squat.

Guys can't we PLEASE stop? LISTEN TO THE MODS AND SHUT IT.

TPU is nice enough to host us while we wait for XS to get fixed, let's not wear out that welcome. And also, let's not let a few disgruntled folks screw it up for the rest of us!

Can't we all just get along :(

Actually it's kind of funny really. All professional IT admins on XS and all Charles had to do was ask, but I do understand his feeling about it too, XS is his baby and he don't want no one messin' with it. Kinda like how we all feel about our latest builds.............

I don't think that's what me meant. I think he's meaning the "sticking together" on the forums as being a good thing, etc. I doubt he'd have any problem with people donating some points to TPU out of gratitude. He's put his crunchers on how many other people' accounts out of similar principles? Sure, we many be trying to become part of the larger TPU community, but this thread shows our continued support for XS and each other.

RRTech's forums are neither here nor there in this discussion.

I'm fairly certain Dave was not talking about me, And donating a few days of DC as a sign of gratitude wouldn't be considered a lack of loyalty, character, or honor (quite the opposite actually) unless someone had an agenda of appearances to fill or an ego to stroke, And decided to willfully misinterpret simple facts to try and reinforce their malicious intentions.

No more, All that will occur is more running of procedurals and a steady reliable rebuttal of arguments composed entirely of ad-hominem and straw-man tactics. It would only be rude to continue.

Ok fellas this is the last warning. Infractions have already begun, and if this thread continues on the path that has hopefully ended at this point, I really have nothing planned this afternoon. So, I am free to continue anyone who thinks this is some sort of slam fest playground.

Please keep you hands and arms inside the car at all times, and do not release the lap bar until the ride has come to a complete stop, thank you!
