Just saw the new update. Thought he said no data loss? Then why did I go from 44 PM's to 37 today?

  3. FUGGER Guest

Thanks TPU for the hospitality while XS is being fixed.

I would have gone to a backup of a few days earlier but I did not want any data loss if there was a chance of recovery. XS is a back from a failed SAS raid 5 with 2 of the 3 members deaded. You guys have no clue the extent I went through to recover

XS will be run off mirrored Intel 32GB enterprise SSD's for data and php files.

why do you feel so entitled that you deserve an explanation immediately? I would prefer fugger work to get the forums back up and not go insane doing it than take some time to tell us what is going on.

As a longtime lurker of this thread I have to agree. Fugger does not owe anyone an explanation for anything. I may not agree that having it down for 3 weeks with no explanation is a good idea, but it is a privately owned and run forum. To all the guys complaining they paid a fee just remember that doesn't make you a stockholder. Personal feelings aside I just hope that when (not if) the forum comes back to life it is in the same shape as when they went down.

Ok let me put it perspective,I'm friends with several Admins, super mods and mods on xs, at times I had more information about what was going on than they did(which wasn't much). And if Admins have no clue what is going on why would Fugger give info to anyone outside of them first or at all? As Sniipe dog said give the man a chance to finish the work and everthing will be explain in due time.

Yes, it happens quite often in reality.

Anyway, I apologize if it came off harsh, I won't post in this thread anymore.
