Ive resently done a total rebuild on my pc, well replaced everything in the last 6 months

Ive got a few issues with intergrateing the fan controller that im useing to the new system

I am useing http://www.zalman.com/eng/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=341

The first problem i have is with the Collmaster case i now have, cant remember the model but it has 3 60mill fans and 1 120mill fan, all of which use a molex connector and not pwn. The fans do have a switch to alter the speed but that means opening the case up. Is there anyway of the fan controller to control them?

The second issue is with the new mobo and cpu cooler. I have resently installed a amd phenon II black edition. The fan uses a 4/5 ? pin connector ant the fan controller is 1 pin short. Is there anyway i can solve this

Currently my fan controller can only control 1 of the 5 fans i have

Any advice would be apreciated

You could replug the molex fans with 3 pin plugs.

As for the 5 pin i don't know maybe do a few searches on the net for 5 pin to 4 pin or some thing.

Hows the display on that one ?. I ask as i have the older one which i have had some time now and still works like a charm.

Did not know they made a newer one did not even see it posted in the news here maybe i just missed it lol. Crazy how they kept all the same connecters i could just unplug mine and plug this one in although would not be worth it as it only offers a timer extra.

OK, Case fans first:

If your case fans run off of a MOLEX connection:

then, get a molex adapter with 3 pin run off like this:

this way you can connect the 3 pin connection to your fan controller and leave the MOLEX unplugged.

IF your fans have 3 pin connections,
then simply hook them up to the fan controller.

Next, CPU fan. Most cpu fans are 4 pin PWM connections. Look for a 4 pin connection directly on your motherboard. Usually it's around the cpu socket. If your motherboard does not have a 4 pin header you can use a 3 pin header but there will be no PWM control.
IF you want to use your fan controller for your cpu fan simply connect the 4 pin cpu fan to a 3 pin adapter. This will allow you to use your Zalman controller rather than the motherboard adjustments.

Did I miss anything?
