Just buy a car with more power so you can lug the rpms on the freeway. I only run about 1800rpms at 75 in my car :D

I could also regear the thing, but that would take lots of money/effort and void multiple warranties. I'd rather just let the thing blow itself up and take it to Kia and tell them to make good on their 100k mile warranty :p.

Duffman, Purolators are rarities around where I live as well. I've had the best luck at Advance Auto parts, Pep Boys, and sometimes Sears auto. Worst case scenario you order it offline. But hey, if you're ordering online, why not get an AMSoil...lol

Oh yeah, because they're $16/each and Purolators are $7 each xD. The only thing keeping me off of AMSoil is my love for oil changes. Otherwise, 1 year/ 25k miles is pretty tempting. At my pricepoint, 6 months/6000 miles on Purolator + Castrol Syntec is ideal :D.

I dunno, I don't think I would ever run oil for 25k miles... In anything but a perfectly good shape motor that is perfectly warmed up and driven very nicely and perfectly tuned, that oil would be so messed up by that point.. Sure it may lubricate, but what most people forget is you change your oil because its dirty. Even with a good filter, it will just get dirty and the oil wont flow through it, which will cause only one thing, unfiltered oil going back in.

yes, amsoil is good but way overpriced. We don't have any Pep Boys around here. That's where I used to get them before i moved. I don't recall Advanced having Purolator...

Wal Mart now carries Royal Purple...tempted to try that.

I'm pretty sure 25k miles is more for fleet operators that set cruise control at 65MPH and just go up and down the great plains...lol.
