I had no idea you were into extravagant alternative cooling?! And all that nice hardware?! I'm a bit shocked! You get a 10. All I need are my blocks, tubing, and fittings and I'll have a complete water system myself! It's all going on the new AMD rig though. Anyways, your rig is sweet! :)

pssshffff.... All that crazy cooling isnt needed. I never understood why you would want to watercool or run TECs or anything other than aircooling.

Geez
by erocker (September 18th - 3:14 PM) - Reply
Yeah, why not just use something like toothpaste for the thermal compound and say, the end of a hairbrush for a heatsink. Should work right?

If you knew d44ve, you'd know that was sarcasm, as he was running a TEC/water setup on his E6600 (before I bought the cooling setup off of him, that is).

DaMulta, when did you get a Stacker?

EDIT: Oh, and I'll rate when you find your camera. lol

Yeah, I like. (Hmmmmmm, wonder why that is? lol)

I somehow knew a new case would be in your future when you started talking about putting TEC on your cards. lol.

I just wish I could actively cool them......I need quieter fans, or maybe if I put two blowing in on one side and two pulling from the other side. I could turn them down, and kill the fan noise.

Push/pull will help, but it won't be a drastic change in most cases.

EDIT: And no, the TEC setup isn't running yet. I'm still deciding what course of action I want to take. Think I'm going Intel still. I'll go back to TEC when I make my final decision.

I wish i had your computer, i really like the stacker case. So do you have a water cooling setup with TEC's chilling the water or are the TEC's just on the video cards?
by DaMulta (September 19th - 12:23 AM) - Reply
TEC's are just on the video cards.

I would like to see temps under load, and what sort of clock speeds you can get! That cooling looks arctic!!

lol. If you look, everything is the same. Yes it's 2 different rooms, but the differing colors come from different lighting conditions. DaMulta isn't one to lie about it.

Those pics didn't come from my camera. I'm going to find it today!!!!

Most of them came from a friends house, and one of them came from lan shots that I found on the web.
