Huh? I don't understand people who do the things you are doing. Is your soul purpose for this system to have a really high benchmark score, or what?

A dry-ice cooler won't stay cool forever. Are you planning to jump away from COD4 to add some more dry ice?

This must be a joke.

There are people in the PC world who like to run as fast as the equiptment will allow, alot like racing cars.

Altho you may drive a car strictly from point a to b, alot of people take the same daily driver to the track on weekends. Think of this guy as the casual air to water cooled, OCing of a system, as reliability is still needed for the daily drives.

Now in his (goats) case, think of it more as trailering your car to the track, running super fast, Taking the money and the girls with it home on a trailer. No need for stability, as most likely, this isnt his daily driver!

I hope this helps you understand what and why he does this.

I for one love it! GREAT WORK!!!!!!

Good explaination. But where's the money and the girls in goat's show? Seems to me that he will make some big numbers which he can think about as he lays his head down to sleep, but otherwise gets forgotten and un-noticed.

I myself have the money but no girls. Maybe I need some dry ice.

the "money and girls" refers to potential gigs in the PC world due to his OC skills. This includes gifts andd freebies to test and run into the ground!

There is potential if in the right situation to even get paid to do this for a full time gig!

The girls...hopefully they come too, but this is all really a subject for a different thread.

Sorry for the mini hijack goat!

That is the only purpose of such a system - benchmarks and yes it is only meant for short term runs... getting a phase unit soon and that will allow for longer term runs and possibly 24/7 use depending on how i want it set up

No joke either

ITS COOL!

I don't know how much I am able to say but I will say that I just removed a sig that said testing 9600GSO 384MB (SLI) and 9600GSO 768MB Sonics (SLI) and of course 9600GTs (512MB) (SLI) and that I already killed a 9600GSO 768MB Sonic withing 10 minutes of taking it out of the box :D

Your memory speed/timings don't match your description -- neither does the CPU speed. Still in the pursuit?

I don't get it. Why would a company pay you/give you stuff to overclock and ruin? Hell, why don't I put a dry ice hopper on my CPU, NB, SB, both GPUs, and memory? Then they will give me stuff.

That is really retarded. How hard is it to throw a dry ice hopper on your CPU and zip-tie a few fans here and there and turn up the clock rates as high as you can take them before you fail to post or get a blue screen? Why would these companies give out stuff to hacks when they could do it within their own company?

Because in your words, "hacks" get promoted within the companies...the companies then need an ass to fill the seat left by the last guy.

Again, start another thread please, and keep this out of his mod thread!

Shoot, any one of us could be promoted and given free stuff to. Why don't we all quit our jobs and get free hardware? What is it that these proposed companies are looking for? I don't see it.

Its cool - I just find it hilarious that you have used ALL of your posts to bash me / take me down a peg.. but I am cool with that...I have had a few beers so that helps I guess :D ... I never said it was a work of art so IDK where you pull that from (But I can guess)... If you want cases I have about 6 of em in the closet lol but I figured I would post something different

I wouldn't mind you asking the people who support me bu I doubt anyone would dignify your rudeness with a response

Lastly IDK what "Your memory speed/timings don't match your description -- neither does the CPU speed. Still in the pursuit?" are you asking do I tweak my settings to get better scores? If so then yes I tweak for better/optimal results...

I won't let this turn into a pissing contest so unless yo uhave something constructive for me or a question I will not respond to you as (unless post count meter is screwy ) the only posts you have made have been attacking me/ TRYING to take me down a peg

How about everyone quits crapping all over this guy's case gallery?

P.S.
This really wasn't a question, but rather a command for those to stupid to realize it :) .

I realize I have said harsh/stupid things and I am sorry. I guess I have previous resentment towards this sort of thing and I am taking it, un-fairly, out on you.

I will not post in this mod gallery again unless asked to.

One last thing: What I was trying to ask was why your CPU-Z submitted information had a different CPU clock, memory clock, and memory latencies than what you indicated in your description and had screen shots of. I was wondering if it was due to instability issues that your clocks weren't as high as expected (crashed midcourse of testing before submitting information to CPU-Z with the slightly higher clocks?).

I voted another 10/10 only because i wish i had the knowhow, money, and knowledge to do the things you do. And because the anti-christ of extreme oc'ing obviously just got dumped by his boyfriend 2 days after he found out he had crabs and his manager at starbucks said the "neo-nazi" radical type isn't a prefered employee base so they had to let him go.

TheGoat Eater, steelkane here, I kicked U up with a 10 because, I really disliked, the unreasonably hard time ty_ger gave U, just because he or it didn't understand the art of overclocking.

Yes, that is the goal a higher number. Most people think that ocing is easy, well yes it is but it takes loads of time.

From going out and reading lots of reviews, finding out what parts work better than others, finding out if those parts work as well with what you got. There is a lot of time that does go into these things. A lot of if isn't going to newegg and just buying the best of the best.

I think I have about 20 hours of just ocing in the last week alone. It takes time to find that really high benchmark score. There are a lot of things that can be moved up and down. Sometimes turning one thing down will let you turn another thing up a little bit, and then you have a better score. Sometimes that hurts your scores and you have to mix it up even more. Plus you can burn things up very fast by doing them.

You have to take lots of notes, screen shots, and remembering settings that will almost drive you nuts if you forget.

In the end it's almost a game to itself. I'm proud of my last runs with all stock cooling. I have my system down at this time were if I pump up one thing by 1Mhz it will lock. It took a long time to find those settings. Not everyone likes to do that, and some people will never even take the time to figure out why someone would like something like that.

Yes, he does fill that pot up for COD4 if he doesn't switch back to normal cooling lol
Which can be a good thing so you don't smash your monitor when yesterdays settings don't want to work anymore.

This is such bullshit ladies.

10 from me for you having to read through this disgraceful crap.
Great O.C. Some people just cant see the beauty of a computer anymore. Don't you guys remember way back when? Just looking at the tracers and caps, wondering where each one goes.
Maybe I am wrong but doesn't anyone still get that rush opening up a new motherboard or graphics card...............Just stare at it for a while. Come on, some of you still have to love the P.C. for the sum of it's parts. I know it's cool to hide all your wires, paint job, black lights and led's I do it to. But I still like to stare inside my old "Fender Bass man Tweed" amp and see the hand done point to point wiring. I think it's beautiful.
Just my two cents.

Cardboard FTL, honestly there's alot better ways to go about it than cardboard if you got the resources for dry ice and/or liquid nitrogen
