nice effort.. but why not 2700k or perhaps x79 platform... I mean i7 990x is not a cheap cpu by any stretch of imagination

Because I was working off of the parts I bought when i was overseas a year ago and then ran out of money when i got to the CPU, and didn't feel like changing out the motherboard before the original pieces breathed new life, so I finally bought the CPU with taxes and now its finally complete. But if I decide to upgrade, ill definitely get a new motherboard and CPU because I'm a little limited on PCI slots, but love the space in this case and the great air cooling, if it wasn't for the case, I'd have went for water cooling.
