plastic is just not part of it...finished? by putting some plexyglass on it? hey I got 28 c ambient temperature today ;)
It is an extreme mini pc...extreme is not meant to be extreme in estethics.

hey puff I thank you so much ;)
for sure I need to take some plexyglass sheets and to dremel them and to compose them on the chassis but now I do not have all that time needed to go around the town for this.
I am using this system as my preferred one for playing games, no matter whether it is incomplete in estethics...for sure here you value the latter one.
my intention was to let you see how much space is really needed to get a good power machine...I abandoned the tower desktops a lot time ago...then it was the shuttle xpcs try and now I am playing with this.

dude we werent trying to be rude or anything. its just that this is the "Case GAllery" not the project log section. So if you must put up a picture, make sure you finish it. or atleast have the decency to have the side panel on the case.

To me it just looks unfinished, I would have rather gone test-bench style than cut up a premium case like that with no way of keeping that hole clean looking.

I voted 5/10 due these facts

The mod is not finished
The hole cut for the card is bad and has ghetto card board and plastic around it
The CPU is not OCed :(

As another forum member mentioned, this is more like a project log instead of full case mod.

brandonwh64, the cpu is not overclocked due to the high roman temperatures and umidity - the motherboard then does not offer any overclocking setting - as for the weather, summer this year has started one month earlier here in Rome...it seems we are gonna to have a very similar weather conditions to our not so far tunisians :D
This small "guy" makes a good job as it is...as for the correct section where I had to post my work to please let me know if a specific section of the forum exists for it...it seems (from your opinions) that I made it wrong ;)

If you went for one of those Shuttle Barebones, you would not have needed to cut that hole in front of your case. But that 7970 is quite extreme for a HTPC for sure.

Hm...Shuttle tends to let you buy as much more barebones as you can...with this cold statement I want to say they are not offering good support with their bios.
I still remember that I had to find an evga bios fix for my 8800gt in order to let the card boot in my old shuttle xpc which had a pci express gen 1 support only...shuttle never fixed this and never tried to due to the fact they were and are always promoting they last/newest models.
As for this mini itx build...all parts are commercial and there are no issues replacing something if it brokes or becomes obsolete...infact I just swapped from my previous amd phenom II configuration.

Such a waste of chassis.. you punched a hole in that sleek casing. shouldve gotten a shorted card like a GTX680 or something.

I know and I undestand that you are minimazing your appreciation.
About the gtx 680 instead, once I would like to throw away all those money for an old piece of rasterization technology I then will let you know! ;)
