what do you score is 3dmark05?
what do you score is 3dmark05?
that thing is frigin beautiful
i just realised how big that case is.
if u dont know what im talking about look at the tiny harddrives in the bottom right corner.

by: KennyT772yea, your right i never looked at that, that thing is huge!

by: ProtiusThanks!! I hear that all the time from my girlfriend :)

LOL! problem is you have to have alot of hard drives cuz urs are so small and fast...
Is this guy rich or what to have all of that sh** in there man......wish i had that rig.
Can you show us more pics, maybe the front and such. Besides that, HOLY FU%^*N $4IT!

Thanks!! I hear that all the time from my girlfriend :)
no silly i'm not talking about what your gf thinks of the how munch hdd space you have, i'm talking about the size of your case. sheesh
Wow..... i really wish i had that.... its got to be the most powerful system i've laid my eyes on. Bet it runs anything like candy
why didn't you just watercool your whole system instead of phase change on just the cpu? and another thought, we really need to see some more pictures please! i sure hope that you aren't lugging that around to lan parties though, i'll bet that thing weighs a ton!
by: IcemanWith such a machine I really doubt you have a girlfriend, can't imagine you can afford one. You probably sold a kidney already for it.

Gotta love those Atlas disks. Even though I think U320 is the limit with 5 15K disks in RAID 0, unless that controller has multiple channels and they're spread amongst them.
by: DanTheBanjomanNo kidney, but six years of my life (BSEE/BSCS). A decent paycheck also helps :)

Yes, there are two scsi channels - two disks on one and three disks on the other. The 15K rpm really helps to reduce acces time.
by: chopperdan88The thermodynamic limit of water cooling is the ambient temperature. For lower temps one must use either a chiller or vapor-compression refrigeration. For a microprocessor to achieve really high frequencies, the chip must be cooled far below ambient temperatures. On the otherhand, the water cooling kept the ATIx1900s stable at a relatively cool 35oC using 693/798 OC settings.

Wow, that's a bad ass pc you got there.
How cold does it get in your room. i asume you don't need a airco i the summer.
9 frome me.

by: Azn Tr14dZno i dont, i live in a cave and have never been exposed to sexual humor
Protius, I don't think you get his joke...do you?
Lol, well I couldn't tell if you didn't get it at all, or was just saying sarcastically.
please more pics!!!

yea, i hate how sometimes sarcasim is so hard to show over the internet
by: chopperdan88I see wheels beneath it - he can cary it like a lugage case :P
i sure hope that you aren't lugging that around to lan parties though, i'll bet that thing weighs a ton!
Well this case isn't that big. I'd say it's less than 2 feet high and basically same width as regular ATX case. It's probably a fulltower case, Lian Li or something. But the job he did is awesome! 10/10!!!
Sry im all for overclocking but not in that way because of the enviromental effects that thing has on our planet i read a huge article on that sort of cooling and it sux the cost just aint worth the extra mhz :( gave it a 1
im sure the cooling is amazing, but i dont know if i would be willing to throw down that much cash for cooling. plus the size and weight..
good job though, you must have put in many hours

Fu*k a duck in a truck, that is the TITAN of all gaming rigs!!! What are you scoring in 3dmark05? 20K?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG that was expensive. I want...
by: Nitro-MaxThere is 2.5 KW of solar panels on my roof and they are grid attached (no batteries) through a direct-grid DC-to-AC converter. This system harvests over 3 MW of energy from the sun anually (power plants are rated in MW). In addition, I own a Honda Civic hybrid that gets 50+ mpg. I think one's environmental concerns should be backed up by practice. Indeed, just how green are you?

Actually, I also have read the article, and for the most part agree with its author. But you, appear to be emitting large amounts of methane and carbon dioxide ... stop talking.
Cheers,
Iceman
by: JC316Thanks for your kind remarks. The only problem with these new 64-bit processors with Windows x64 is that they don't allow most 32-bit apps that touch HW to run as loosely (Nero comes to mind). So, no 3DMark05, etc. Sorry.

by: devinXkillyouNot many hours, just a weekend with a few basic tools (e.g. drill, multimeter, etc). Research is what it is all about - make sure everything "plays well together", including driver support. Staying with market leading brands is "safe" - drivers are there, and glitches are not.

As for cost, yes indeed, quite a bit (> $5,000), but I am a manager with an engineering consulting firm. Stay in college, kick academic ass, and you too can have the finer things in life.
Cheers,
Iceman
by: Icemanill give your solar panels 10/10 :) ur honda Civic 5/10 and your manners 2/10 you did post here for opinions and votes if your going to take it personal maybe you shouldnt post if your going to abuse negative feedback.

p.s.I aint talking im typing maybe a little noise pollution from the keys but cirtainly no large amounts of methane and carbon dioxide maybe you should strap that cooler to yourself and chill a bit Iceman.peace.

Also note that superchilling any PC component also damages it. There is such a thing as too cold. optimum temps to avoid soi damaging and the like is actually around 30-35c, right where your X1900s used to be.
10/10 just for the overkill factor. I've heard of people doing 41% overclocks on air with C2Ds, though.
