System Specs:
AMD Athlon 2800+ XP-M, Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Motherboard, Corsair XMS TWIN-3200XL Platinum 1GB PC-3200 DDR Memory, Powercolor ATI Radeon X1950 PRO AGP Card, Western Digital IDE HDD 80GB, 2x Maxtor DiamondMax9 SATA 120GB (Raid-0), 2x Sony DVD-RAM 18X Optical Drive, Mitsumi Black Floppy Drive, Enermax Liberty 500W PSU, Antec 900 Case, Vantec Nexus NX-305 Fan & Light Controller, PCI 56kb Modem, PCI Wireless Ethernet Linksys Card.
Performed Mods:
Cable management still haven't fully done yet. Oc-ing up now till 2.53Ghz (230x11), 1.775 vCore, 41 Idle, 49 Load. 3DMark03: 13010, 3DMark06, 3854. 3-2-2-11 @ 2T (2.8v). Just wondering, should I add or look for a voltmod to the chipset to push my processor further? I think my motherboard's holding me back. Can't get pass 2.6Ghz stable.
If anyone had seen my old case in my other gallery, well this is just an update with a new case. Everything's still with the same component except for the graphics card. About the case, all I can say the Antec 900 is a great case for airflow, but may not be the best in cable management. But the case really cools down the components. I'm aware that my floppy and optical drives are still beige in colour. I will paint the floppy to black after I get myself a black spray can so that it'll fit the colour of the case. As for the optical drive, I'm actually in search for a really decent DVD+RW drive. Recommendations and opinions required on this. After the optical drive upgrade, I may not upgrade anything more with this rig. I'm looking forward for a PCI-E system. In other words, I'm just maxing out this current rig I have before I upgrade to a new one. And again, thanks for watching!

Wow that really looks nice with the new case. I bet that Athon XP never thought it was gonna get such a kick ass video card to play with;)
The proc should really like, "Oh wow, a hot visual babe partner!"
Hahah, no kiddin. This is a pretty nice case, except for those blue cables sticking right out there... there's got to be a way to hide those things. hmmm...
It's pretty long. No idea how to hide it, pretty cramp space too. But who knows I might try. Thanks for the comment!
You cables need some work, but otherwise it's a solid system. I would love to see some benchmarks on it. 6/10
Nice s-ata cables 9/10
Like the change, to a "higher standard" case
Very good n tidy cables too

"Higher standard" that is. Yes, it's worth the investment, ain't it? lol
Nice comp! How well does that cooler for you 1950 work? What kind of temps do you see?
All I can say this cooler really kicks ass, it's silent and does it jobs very well too. I wasn't able to do a full testing on the load yet, but I did note the temps, which is during idle is 33 and around 41 during load with NFS: Carbon. I like!
by: xnox202;249541WOW! that is nice and cool! What are you using to monitor with? Rivatuner? I'm at 56~60C idle and 75~82C full load! And I have a 120mm 89cfm fan blowing onto the cards and another exhausting the hot air out of the case! But, those are pretty normal temps for 8800GTX cards tho...

I voted 4/10 because:
theres still work to be done really the drives dont really go with the overall look i like the case and the cable management looks ok for the amount thats in the case got some nice custom bits in there like i said still could do with improvements here and there

Well firstly, this is ain't American Idol so yes I do not need a very serious rating on my weird looking rig with some beige coloured optical drives. Yeah, I'm aware of that as I already said in the description. Would like to know any findings for an option to upgrade my current optical drive. Any suggestions?

I use CCC. Hey yeah, although it's quite warm of the temp you're running there but you have a kick ass graphic card powering the graphics of your pc ;)
by: xnox202;249725Well i once knew a guy that was a lazer engineer for sony and he said the best class 1 laser comes from Liteon he recomended them for long life and quality my dad has a liteon cdrw thats 5 years old and still going strong and used daily but like with anything you can get bad and good products somtimes things have slight faults even when it comes off the production line so there could be mixed opinions but if this helps any i like liteon drives and recomend them as recomended by a expert on the subject.

The thing is, the current drive I have right now is not really good. Keeps on misreading and so forth since the day I bought it. Replaced the drive twice during warranty, still no luck and I can't believe that since Asus is a good brand (or I thought). I know plextor also does good drives, but kinda pricey.
Updated with new photos.
My 24/7 OC Settings:
(218x11 @ 2,400 MHz)
(2-3-3-9 @ 1T)
3DMark03: 13126
3DMark06: 3854
Will run some more benchmarks. Hmm, I think I noticed some studderings while benchmarking.

Wow,...SK-1 LIKE
@ randomperson21: well i'm really happy with my case. the airflow performance inside the case is also one of the plus of this case. you can't go wrong with those 120mm fans around the case. imo, if you're looking for air-cooling performance, get the 900. the sonata, i don't know.
@ SK-1: thanks for the comment!

I gave you an 8.
cable managment is hard with that case but nice job. do your case fans use led lights? mainly asking about the side and rear fans.
the reason I´m asking is because I took out the led 1100rpm fans out of my case and used antec dbb 120mm fans.. that took away from my cases sexiness... so I was thinking about getting a neon (maybe 2 now).

@ Chewy: I'm using the Antec 900 Rev. 1 case. So by stock, I don't have the led-lighted rear fan, and the side fan is the Vantec 120mm UV Spectrum. I'm planning to get the same pair as the front fans which is the Antec's TriCool. Should make some difference by it, despite the same cooling performance I guess.
@ Gam'ster: Thanks for the comment. Well to be honest, if you really want to do some extreme cable management for this case, you can search at google for Antec 900 Case Mods. Some people dremel the case and make some holes to hide the wires. I can't do that, maybe because I just don't know how. :P

Yeah i may look into that, love the PSU at the bottom, and the cooling will be nice with my mobo :)
cheers
cheers
I also noted that when I started pushing my vCore up to more than 1.75 vCore, my +5v Rail starts to drop and fluctuates more. Before it only around 4.86 - 4.9, now 4.703 - 4.838 (It also fluctuates more) or is that something I shouldn't worry about? .. Note that I'm using the 500W version of Enermax Liberty.
