Performed Mods:
linked the green wire to allow both psu's to run. redirected air over north bridge. mostly i rebuilt from where hp cut ties with me. got a new motherboard to replace there cheapy and added extra usb fixed to ultra slow fan in the hipro psu that stabilized voltages and to compinsate for the vid i got another psu that mounts on my 80mm fan port and vent air out the side of the case. and loaded everything but the motherboard onto the 175 watt now both rails are within 3% of 12
added an extra pic of my kind of entertainment system. this is here because people complained that my last mod wasn't a mod. ran 3dmark06 with all stock settings got the pic in this update

If you were going to switch out the motherboard, why not just move the whole thing into a new, more spacious case?

this is the new case because of the lack of any form of money i cant really get a more spacius one. this one had expanded capabilities and could mount the extra psu easily with the 80mm fan port.

Wow C'Low, just joined the forums to make a comment on this case... and I can't blame you! If there was such a thing as computer cruelty the pics that I'm looking at very much resemble a beaten runt pit-bull and his dead friend next to him. Nice monitor though, cool icons!!!

*edit: the little fans everywhere are just darling!!!

Its utterly gross, can't you fix it up man? Seriously, its not that hard to tidy up the cables, and considering that you have barely any hardware it makes it even more unworthy. If ur posting it here, put some effort into it, and not make people feel bad, I get really worked up looking at stuff this bad so sorry if i offended you.

Improvements you could make:

-Buy a new PSU, like 400W from any non-generic brand is enough to power that, two PSUs are just plain stupid
-Cable management, having no zip ties does not make an excuse to make it messy
-Single PSU. I must stress this, your system is dying from heat there is no substantial outake.
-Get a new case, if you got that hardware, then why not get a new case? Your case is seriously limiting the thermal performance of all the hardware, making them fail early, whats worse is the fact that you don't have a lot of money!
-Tidy your room up Its very messy IMHO, no offense intended but you could really do with throwing away your junk, selling as well.
-FINALLY, Your graphics card is preoverclocked... dont expect it to last long if you keep this setup.

I'm not voting on this one... might offend you.

This would blow the crap out of what you have atm... the case is good, it has ducting, .8mm SECC and pretty easy to use for cable management. You don't have to pay a lot for space, this case is more spacious than the thermaltake soprano... so yeah.

umm.........wal-mart has toolboxes for sale around $15.00. i think that would look a lot better. ;-)
If needed I have step by step photos to guide you through the process on how to make a mod case out of a toolbox.

this reminds me of my athlon xp case and the 450 watt psu that died in it.

i giving a 4: because at least your trying to get u stuff running without spending. but :

1. a dual power psu only one needs to be in the case (u can extend the wires to outside)
2. high qualtity PVC electrical tape could be used for "neat sleeve look"
3. can't u cut holes in the case side panel...even at a work shop to fit the fans.

im in process of cutting the hole and the second psu's cables are to short so that is the place it goes. most of the modding in this case is live because of the server running on it. so drilling holes in the main case is out of the question but the panels are already being worked on.
Edit: thanks for the 4 at least someone saw the creativity

had the same problem when i was testing dual power, but when i throw out old psu i gut them, for wires and fans.
i try post a pic, but if u had molex set of wires, then simply insert them into a molex plug like an extension wire. i cut and psu molex and connecter the wires with connectors from an electrical store.
note: i think the longer the wire may cause a drop in voltage, 0.02 or something.

Save up, then buy a case that will actually do good.

iv got othr things to spend money on then a computer, it works even without cooling fans so its fine. its very low maintenance.
by Wile E (May 31st - 6:59 PM) - Reply
I'm not gonna rate it as of yet. You really need to do something about the wiring. Bust out the soldering iron if you have to. If you get the wiring cleaned up, then airflow will be much easier to mange. There's a lot of potential here tho.

Yes, and lets just ask, what would you do if your PC fails? I would never call the 7600GT a low matinence card under poor thermal conditions. Heat moves up man, not sideways, thats why having the side panel off is virtually useless when you dont have any active exaust.
by CH@NO (June 4th - 12:08 AM) - Reply
Hi Verizon.

I must agree with the other members and say your PC is really a MESS......the case are not to expensive and if you has the money to buy a 7600GT you'll try to consider to pay a 50-60 bucks to buy a descent ATX case (even a generic one).

If you post here is 'cause you have something NICE to show, not only a powerful PC....the appereance also counts A LOT.........So, please re-build your PC and show some respect to the other posts of this topic.

Hope I wasn't so rude.........and sorry for my bad english.

5/10 for the worst cable system I have ever seen.

You got extra points for that:)
