The Radeon X800 was a graphics card by ATI, launched in October 2004. Built on the 110 nm process, and based on the R430 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0b. The R430 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 240 mm² and 160 million transistors. It features 12 pixel shaders and 6 vertex shaders, 12 texture mapping units and 12 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 256 MB DDR memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 400 MHz, memory is running at 350 MHz.
We recommend the ATI Radeon X800 for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 800x600.
Being a single-slot card, its power draw is rated at 30 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x VGA, 1x S-Video. Radeon X800 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface.
