The FireMV 2400 PCIe x1 was a professional graphics card by ATI, launched in January 2008. Built on the 130 nm process, and based on the RV380 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0b. The RV380 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 92 mm² and 75 million transistors. It features 4 pixel shaders and 2 vertex shaders, 4 texture mapping units and 4 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 256 MB DDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 500 MHz, memory is running at 500 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, its power draw is rated at 20 W maximum. FireMV 2400 PCIe x1 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 2.0 x1 interface. The card measures 170 mm in length, and features a single-slot cooling solution.
