The Radeon X1900 XTX was a high-end graphics card by ATI, launched in January 2006. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the R580 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The R580 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 352 mm² and 384 million transistors. It features 48 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 16 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). We recommend the ATI Radeon X1900 XTX for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1680x1050.
Being a dual-slot card, its power draw is rated at 135 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. Radeon X1900 XTX is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface. The card measures 242 mm in length, and features a dual-slot cooling solution. Its price at launch was 399 US Dollars.
