The Radeon X1800 GTO was a graphics card by ATI, launched in March 2006. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the R520 graphics processor, in its R520 LE variant, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The R520 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 288 mm² and 321 million transistors. It features 16 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 12 texture mapping units and 12 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 256 MB GDDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 500 MHz, memory is running at 495 MHz.
We recommend the ATI Radeon X1800 GTO for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1024x768.
Being a single-slot card, the ATI Radeon X1800 GTO draws power from 1x 6-pin power connectors, with power draw rated at 48 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. Radeon X1800 GTO is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface.
