The Mobility Radeon HD 5145 was a mobile graphics chip by ATI, launched on January 7th, 2010. Built on the 55 nm process, and based on the M92 graphics processor, in its M92-S2 LP variant, the chip supports DirectX 10.1. Since Mobility Radeon HD 5145 does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The M92 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 73 mm² and 242 million transistors. It features 80 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. ATI has paired 512 MB GDDR3 memory with the Mobility Radeon HD 5145, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 720 MHz, memory is running at 900 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Mobility Radeon HD 5145 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface.
