The GeForce 820M is a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in November 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GF117 graphics processor, in its N15V-GM variant, the card supports DirectX 11.0. The GF117 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 116 mm² and 585 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce 920M, which uses the same GPU but has all 384 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 820M to reach the product's target shader count. It features 96 shading units, 16 texture mapping units and 8 ROPs. NVIDIA has placed 1,024 MB DDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 775 MHz, memory is running at 900 MHz.
We recommend the NVIDIA GeForce 820M for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 800x600.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. GeForce 820M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 2.0 x16 interface.
