The GeForce 9400 GT Rev. 2 was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on August 27th, 2008. Built on the 55 nm process, and based on the G96C graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 11.1. Even though it supports DirectX 11, the feature level is only 10_0, which can be problematic with many DirectX 11 & DirectX 12 titles. The G96C graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 121 mm² and 314 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce 9500 GS Rev. 2, which uses the same GPU but has all 32 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 9400 GT Rev. 2 to reach the product's target shader count. It features 16 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 512 MB GDDR3 memory with the GeForce 9400 GT Rev. 2, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 550 MHz, memory is running at 400 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT Rev. 2 does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 50 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI, 1x VGA, 1x S-Video. GeForce 9400 GT Rev. 2 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 168 mm in length, and features a single-slot cooling solution.
