ATI FireGL V7300

ATI FireGL V7300 Image ATI R520 Image
The FireGL V7300 was a high-end professional graphics card by ATI, launched in October 2005. Built on the 90 nm process, and based on the R520 graphics processor, in its R520 GL variant, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The R520 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 288 mm² and 321 million transistors. It features 16 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 16 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 512 MB GDDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 594 MHz, memory is running at 648 MHz.
We recommend the ATI FireGL V7300 for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1280x720.
Being a dual-slot card, its power draw is rated at 97 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. FireGL V7300 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface. The card measures 229 mm in length, and features a dual-slot cooling solution. Its price at launch was 1,599 US Dollars.
