The FirePro V3700 was a mid-range professional graphics card by ATI, launched on August 8th, 2008. Built on the 55 nm process, and based on the RV620 graphics processor, in its RV620 GL variant, the card supports DirectX 10.1. Since FirePro V3700 does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The RV620 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 67 mm² and 181 million transistors. It features 40 shading units, 4 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. ATI has paired 256 MB GDDR3 memory with the FirePro V3700, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 800 MHz, memory is running at 950 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the ATI FirePro V3700 does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 32 W maximum. Display outputs include: 2x DVI. FirePro V3700 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 168 mm in length, 111 mm in width, and features a single-slot cooling solution. Its price at launch was 99 US Dollars.
