ATI Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition
The Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition was a graphics card by ATI, launched in September 2006. Built on the 80 nm process, and based on the R580+ graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 9.0c. The R580+ graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 352 mm² and 384 million transistors. It features 48 pixel shaders and 8 vertex shaders, 16 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). ATI has placed 512 MB GDDR4 memory on the card, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 650 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz.
We recommend the ATI Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1280x720.
Being a dual-slot card, its power draw is not exactly known. Display outputs include: 2x DVI, 1x S-Video. Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 1.0 x16 interface.
