Xtremer has announced its eTRAYz NAS. This 2-bay SATA NAS falls in the entry-level segment and boasts of affordability. It provides up to 4 TB of storage (using two 2 TB SATA hard drives) over network or USB. The drives can be set up into independent disks, RAID 0 or RAID 1. There is one gigabit Ethernet and two USB 2.0 ports for connectivity. It features a "RapidShare-like" web interface with eTRAYz dropbox function. The interface also features photo-album and backup functions. Jdownloader coupled with a bit-torrent engine makes it a self-contained download machine. The eTRAYz starts shipping in November. Existing users of Xtreamer media player can pre-order the eTRAYz for 59€. For everyone else, it will sell for 99€.

Q. Does the eTRAYz supports Giga Lan port ?
A. Yes as well as 2 additional USB 2.0 ports located at the back panel .
Q. Is the eTRAYz noisy ?
A. No. Nearly totally silent device with very efficient 40mm mutli-speed fan with temprature sensor.
Q. What eTRAYz stands for ?
A. The new Xtreamer NAS eTRAYz incorporate revolutionary feature that allow you use your 2 bay NAS (4 Terabyte) like Disk on key or any extrenal portable USB storage you have. By simple login from any PC environment that is connected to the internet you will see your NAS as local drive in your windows / MAC environment. The result will be that you will be able to see your NAS HDD drives as local HDD even when you are away from home. Anywhere, anytime. Imagine a personal device with DropBox capablities with unlimited bandwidth and storage space.
Did I state otherwise?
For that price I highly doubt it will matter that it supports gigabit. I doubt it will go past the 10MB/s. They're they're free to send me a sample and I'll test that. And filling 4TB at sluggish speeds is a hell.
by: btarunrnope - neither did they. it wasnt mentioned at all, hence i went looking.
