ASUSTeK has manufactured the ASUS P5N-T Deluxe motherboard, the first NVIDIA nForce 780i based mainboard to be announced under the ASUS brand. This cutting-edge motherboard works the NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI chipset, which supports ESA (Enthusiast System Architecture), the latest 3-Way SLI technology and Dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 lanes. Supporting up to 8GB of DDR2-1066/800/667 un-buffered memory the P5N-T Deluxe also comes with Precision Tweaker 2 and the world's first ASUS EPU (Energy Processing Unit) that monitors CPU power supply and fine-tunes it with improved VRM efficiency in heavy or light loadings to attain the best possible power efficiency and energy savings to help save the environment. talk about crap cooling. All the fans stacked on top of each other. You need fan like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220002 and make it draw air from the rear of the card (which would be the front of the case).

what's the point of being power efficient when using 3 POWER HOG graphics cards? AND where is the tri-SLI bridge?

That's just a collage, no need to have the 3-way SLI bridge. ;)

It's not so bad. Normal use in SLI means NICE distance between cards. If used in TRIPPLE, then double slot cooling is still possible, unlike ATI quad gpu concept, AND remember, for the THIRD card in SLI that is for Physics, this card would, in practice be a single slot cooler, because you DONT NEED THE HIGHEST END GPU for physics. In fact, I'm sure once GPU physics catches on, they will produce a physics-only card without a display port... ie a card designed to work in SLI only. Will save on costs and therefore make the option much more attractive.

OK well I think there has been way to many forums on motherboards and if you are going to put one on, make sure it is better than the other ones!:toast:

I'd like to see how this thing overclock, particullarly the quad-cores, and is it 45nm Quad-core compatible? The 680i chipset overclocked quad-cores like complete ass, and from what I understand this is just a 680i with a PCI0E 2.0 bridge, but I am hoping they fixed the quad-core issues.

Triple SLI is all graphics right now, all three cards are meant to be used for graphics processing(to combat ATi's Spyder platform). I think nVidia is focussing on triple-SLI for the 8800GT more than anything, which uses a single slot design. Though they got it up and running on the 8800GTX/Ultra first because it was easier to design it thanks to the extra SLI connectors. The 8800GT, and all other cards with the single SLI connector, have to use the PCI-E bus for part of the SLI communication.
