Plextor, a leading supplier of optical and storage devices, announced today a new 4x Blu-ray DVD-RW drive using the SATA interface - the PX-B910SA. Building on the success of PX-B920SA, the PX-B910SA drops the support for HD-DVD presented in the above mentioned model and becomes a Blu-ray drive only. About right for the price. I remember when DVD burners were going for this much and more. If it drops a little bit more, I may buy me one!

They are slowly but surely dropping in price. I remember that the first blu-ray burners (slower than this plextor) was over $1000.

The Cheapest Burning option I found was a LG GGW-H20L. $269 isn't as bad as Newegg's $299
