Co-operation between manufacturers have become a common thing these days. That helps them to better sell and promote their products and satisfy user's hunger for new products. G.Skill International in partnership with Thermaltake launched today new GT1 DDR3 series memory running at PC3-16000 and featuring Thermaltake's unique RamOrb heatsinks. The RamOrb thermal solution combines a RAM sink, single heatpipe and a blower fan that lowers the temp significantly. Available in 4GB (2x2GB) kits, the new G.SKILL PC3-16000 GT1 memory is also optimized for NVIDIA's 790i chipset platforms, of course that does not mean it would not work on other DDR3 compatible systems just as well. With each G.SKILL memory you'll also receive a lifetime warranty and free technical support, the PC3-16000 GT1 is no exception. For more information please go here.

Awesome. I wasn't aware of the RamOrb. I guess you can buy it separately. Anyone have experience with it?
:cool:thats awesome :)

lol, this looks just funny. it might be cooling one side, but the other side will still be hot
That is just ugly!

Yes it works, anything with a fan on it will get the job done. But its just ugly, and if i have 4 ram sticks, or 6 ram sticks with new Tri-SLI then ill need 6 of these things. Its not cost efficient. Any one got a price for one these things? $15 a pop?
Corsair Ram cooler is $25 and it will cool all 6 RAM sticks. Or for $10 you can mount a 80mm fan.
just my 0.02c
1,9volt .. not nehalem ready
looks more a con thing i think just getting some ram cooler like the ocz xtc ram cooler would be more effective
hmmm interesting..
by: a111087I totally agree with what I marked in bold. I saw the picture and literally said " WTF... " Hah. It looks fake, it looks that ridiculous IMO. I'm more than sure its functional though.

That gives me an idea for a new thread.
What about it ?
What about it ?
I am not real keen on the looks either...
it's pretty cool but as stated above, not really worth the money when you can get a bolt on cooler for all your sticks at once.
Guess i'll be sticking with my corsair cooler

How is this supost to cool the ram? I see a heat pipe coming out of it but I doubt it does any good..
by: BOSEYes it is. I hate those TT RAM heatsinks.

Hmm in not so sure about that cooler, nice ram though.
by: truehighroller1Yeah, but that doesn't compare these to a standard spreader (or even bare ram) with a fan blowing directly on them, like the OCZ or Corsair coolers.

it reminds me of that fake ati card on usb

These would so hit my GPU. Other way around would have been a much better idea. Sure you can take the pipe out and flip it, but then they kinda blow in the wrong direction.
Great skill in overclocking.. great skill in not bending the pipe on ram installation
g.skill , really cool brand
