NVIDIA to Launch GeForce GTX 880 in September

NVIDIA is expected to unveil its next generation high-end graphics card, the GeForce GTX 880, in September 2014. The company could tease its upcoming products at Gamescom. The company is reportedly holding a huge media event in California this September, where it's widely expected to discuss high-end graphics cards based on the "Maxwell" architecture. Much like AMD's Hawaii press event that predated actual launch of its R9 290 series by several weeks; NVIDIA's event is expected to be a paper-launch of one or more graphics cards based on its GM204 silicon, with market availability expected in time for Holiday 2014 sales.

The GM204 is expected to be NVIDIA's next workhorse chip, which will be marketed as high-end in the GeForce GTX 800 series, and performance-segment in its following GTX 900 series; much like how the company milked its "Kepler" based GK104 across two series. It's expected to be built on the existing 28 nm process, although one cannot rule out an optical shrink to 20 nm later (like NVIDIA shrunk the G92 from 65 nm to 55 nm). The GTX 880 reportedly features around 3,200 CUDA cores, and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory.Source: VideoCardz

Wireless your life. Rapoo, one of the world's leading manufacturers of peripherals in the wireless segment and the first manufacturer of products featuring 5 GHz wireless technology, holds an impressive 42% market share in China and is continually expanding its product portfolio. Rapoo produces innovative input devices offering maximum functionality and quality, and today announces the launch of its portable A800 Bluetooth Stereo Speaker.

Thanks to Rapoo's Guided Acoustic Wave Technology, which effectively enlarges the sound-generating surface of the speaker producing a sound experience that packs so much punch it's like a much larger speaker has generated it, this Bluetooth speaker delivers well-rounded, gutsy sound. What's more, Bluetooth 4.0 apt-X technology means music can be streamed from the player to the A800 without any audible loss of quality from up to 10 meters away and any angle.

VisionTek Adds New Models, Cooling Kits, and Bundles to CryoVenom Series

VisionTek Products LLC, (VisionTek), a leading manufacturer of award-winning, high-performance upgrades and accessories for PCs and Macs, today announced the addition of new graphics cards models, complete cooling kits, and card/cooling kit bundles to its high-performance liquid cooled PC compatible CryoVenom line. To complement the CryoVenom R9 290 liquid cooled graphics card, the "quietest, coolest, and fastest" single AMD GPU ever tested by PC Magazine, and Finalist in the Best New Product - Computer Hardware category of The 2014 American Business Awards, CryoVenom Liquid Cooling Kits were developed in conjunction with EKWB to solve four major concerns of those considering liquid cooling:
  • Warranty. Modifications can void the warranty of a standard GPU. With a CryoVenom Liquid Cooling Kit, a system builder can still design and build a custom machine, yet enjoy the protection of a VisionTek warranty.
  • Compatibility. Designed as a complete solution versus separately sourced components, certified-for-use kits are available for the VisionTek R9 290, 290X, and 295X2 graphics cards.
  • Real World Use Tested. All components have been tested in actual use by the VisionTek Custom Shop team to ensure effective, high-performance liquid cooling.
  • Ease of Installation. Everything is included - including pre-test and appearance convenience items - and were specifically designed to facilitate a quick, hassle-free install.
