Despite all the rumors that FOXCONN is not doing so well and it is probably going out of the business, Foxconn Electronics and company subsidiary Foxconn Technology posted today record October sales.

I guess now all rumors of FOXCONN leaving the motherboard market are groundless.
Despite a weakening global economy, Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and company subsidiary Foxconn Technology reported October sales that beat market expectations and hit respective company records. Foxconn Electronics spokesperson Edmund Ding said networking and consumer electronics products delivered an outstanding performance in October, while PC product lines also showed stable growth, pushing the company's October sales up 7.63% from September to NT$169.38 billion (US$5.2 billion), an increase of 29.13% on year. Accumulated sales from January to October were NT$1.216 trillion, up 27.47% compared to the same period last year and slightly lower than the company's 30% annual growth target. The company's sales in November and December are expected to continue to grow, though 30% monthly growth will be a difficult goal for the company to achieve, indicated the market watchers.
Foxconn Electronics' subsidiary Foxconn Technology also announced October consolidated sales of NT$16.72 billion, up 13.12% on month and 25.9% on year. Accumulated sales from January to October were NT$127.87 billion, representing 18.56% growth from the same period of 2007.

I have to agree. I mean Foxconn recently focused on their consumer motheboard as well as treating enthusiats (MARS, etc). I mean if a company was this dedicated and successful, what reason would there be to leave the industry?
Foxconn was one of the worst MOBO manufacturers on planet. e.g. if a foxconn mobo had O/B VGA, and you install a discrete card, you could burn the discrete one :D...
They did not Boot, BSODs...totally crap...

Last time I checked Foxconn's stock was over 100 dollars. They also have more stock than Microsoft and I believe also Intel. I don't think they're doing bad...

Foxconn was one of the worst MOBO manufacturers on planet. e.g. if a foxconn mobo had O/B VGA, and you install a discrete card, you could burn the discrete one :D...
They did not Boot, BSODs...totally crap...
But now..They are among the best...
Well maybe you had a lemon board. So far I have had many mobo from many sockets. And my worse trouble mobo were ASUS & EVGA BSODs hell. I went to a Foxconn Blackops X48 and I never had any BSODs issue of any kind. It is a very very solid board. I was able to OC my board within 1 hour vs 10 hours on other boards. So if you have not bought a Foxconn board within a year then you are missing out...
Except the lot of you are missing the point here. This is not Foxconn Channel, which is a separate division to Foxconn Electronics and Foxconn Technology.
Foxconn is made up of a whole bunch of different subsidiaries and these two have nothing to do with PC motherboards.
The inside information is that there's still some things going on at Foxconn Channel, so don't expect this saga to be over quite yet...

+1. The whole "closing down" rumour had something to do with Foxconn Channel (Foxconn's own brand of motherboards and graphics cards), not the company. That's a 500,000 strong company, there's no way a company that large is closing down.

And yes, I personally tested destroyer,blackops and other extreme mobos. They are perfect...
