So i am guessing, the WHQL version will be release for all OS's soon right?
by: u2konlineDon't count on WHQL version until the final code of Windows 7 is released.

Not all betas ever make it to the WQHL release, I've been using the 185 betas and they've been around for around two months now without an official release.
Does anyone know how to actually get COD4/PB to work in Win7? I tried everything people said about running in XP compatibility mode, I tried running the pbsetup in XP compat mode, running COD4 in XP compat mode, nothing worked.
I had no problem running CoD4 in Win 7. What is the problem your having?
I wonder if nVidia fixed the driver problems with NFS:Undercover in this release. 178.24's are the latest package that doesn't black screen CTD's.
install the latest directx redist: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=886ACB56-C91A-4A8E-8BB8-9F20F1244A8E&displaylang=en

It was PunkBuster that was failing out.
Oooh so it may be PB not working properly in Win 7 ..
I will look into that and post back.

Since when does PB work well in ANY Windows version? Hey, I like what the program does (prevent cheating), but it's way too buggy and makes most PC's I've installed it unusually unstable.
It doesn't prevent cheating... I wish it prevented cheating. Then maybe, just maybe it might be worth having two different punkbuster processes running 24/7 for crappy EA games
This driver does not work well with Fallout 3, the game will stop responding like 30 seconds into it. I've now switched back to the 179.43 drivers and now I don't have that problem.

they work fine on fallout for me
Im only having problems with NFS Undercover it just doesn't entrer in the game stops in the first loading but the sound continues... does anyone know how to fix this issue???
by: EditoSame as mine as well. In Win 7 7k, I must use the default Win drive or Vista 64bit 178.24's. Something pre-Physx does the trick and no disabling Physx doesnt do the job.
