Cooler Master's CM 690, one of the most popular mid-tower cases in Europe, has yet another special-edition variant. This time, the company designed a case, that uses white with a dash of chrome as its colour-theme. CM made changes to the side panel of this case, it lacks the fan mount-holes. Also used, are more silent fans in comparison to the ones on the base-model. Originally slated for a CeBIT launch, Cooler Master put the project under wraps. I like the white colour.. there should be more white cases.
I don't care for the white, especially the chrome w/ the white but I don't like chrome anyways. I would love to have the access panel on this case so I can put a round window on mine.
I just emailed CM to see if I can purchase those panels cause if I can....Eddy(Iron Maiden) will be on the side of my case to protect me

boys are you serous ??? you are looking at a white 690 while next to it there are two beast cases unfortunately I dont think they are in production yet but just look at them

White looks awesome, but why would you have a case designed for placing it near your feet and have the power/reset buttons near the bottom?

Is white the new black? The worst part will be getting things like optical drives in that color.
My Asus DVD-RW came with a black and a white (not biege) face plate.
It looks a little too *shudder* Mac-ish for me.

I have a CM690... Overall a good case, but the ports on top is just plain stupid, and forever full of dust.
If you are actually someone who USES them - it's a total mess having USB / eSata / Firewire / Audio jacks sticking out from the top of the case in a big wirey mess. (Although to defend the Audio jack it is nice if you are using headphones)
eSATA cables are also always rather short and it is a tall case - making it VERY impractical to actually USE the top port.. (Unless eSATA Flash drives became a bit more popular).
PS - the USB ports are DIRECTLY side by side so unless EVERY usb device you own is exactly 1 port wide you can almost never use both ports at the same time. USB devices are almost ALWAYS WIDER than a usb port - but they are only as tall as one so that the ports can be stacked on top of eachother without conflicting - but this case seems to have ignored the concept of actually using USB ports completley.
Still, ports aside I have a Black one and Digg It :)

I think the white actually looks good, just not my taste. I prefer dark colors(lightest "color" I'd have would be Silver). Although I do wish my 690 came w/ no holes in the side panels. I'm working on filling up the left side holes w/ JB weld. Me :nutkick: CM.
Its a lot nicer then some of hideous looking cases this company has been putting out lately.

the tj-07 is also a really cool case :cool: but SilverStone are known for making good cases too infarct if my next case is not CM it will be SS

Personally i like the white. Given me an extra choice of color. To mod it with lights, its going to be a bit of a headache for it.
