They seem to be slowly improving the design. Cleaner lines, less fiddly "media buttons", larger trackpad. Just wish they would now fix their glassy reflective screens to make them more useable in enviroments where reflections are an issue.

Looks like June/July will be a good month for new netbook/notebook releases.

Have you actually seen an eee before? They dont have a glassy reflective screen. It quite literally is a EEEPC S101 without a SSD, and HDD in place.

Isnt the N280 running @ 1.66Ghz, and it was the N270 that was @ 1.6?

I think i still prefer the MSI uWind 100 Plus. Only for the battery life.

I like the Asus blue and red, the MSI uWind's red looks like a bag of tomatos.

I played with an asus netbook at Best Buy. I damn near almost bought it but he said the display model was the only one they had left. I don't feel comfortable about buying something handled carelessly by so many people.

I definitely foresee myself buying one in the near future. Where I go camping, I have decent service on Sprint's evdo network. When tethered, I can get like 1.4mbps easy, which means I might be able to stream movies via orb from my home. I know, it's not exactly roughing it lol.

Thanks for pointing out that this is a non-glare series. My comment was more general, and yes, I have seen so many glassy screens on my recent trip to the laptop store I just wish there were more matte options out there.

Thanks for the S101 tip. Didnt see that one yet.

ASUS seems to be doing their usual days of designing a notebook, make it's features as good as a Mercedes.
