Shuttle Launches Xeon-Compatible XPC Barebone SW580R8 Mini-PC

To satisfy more than just the requirements of typical desktop applications, with the XPC Barebone SW580R8 the Taiwanese Mini-PC pioneer Shuttle is for the first time marketing a model with a cube format which impresses with features that were previously only found with traditional server and workstation products. Based on the Intel W580 chipset, as well as Intel Core processors of the 10th and 11th generation, the SW580R8 also supports Intel Xeon W series processors whose strengths lie in VFX, 3D rendering, complex 3D CAD and AI development & edge management.

For the first time in a Mini-PC from Shuttle, you can choose error-correcting ECC RAM. Spread over four slots, a maximum of 128 gigabytes is possible. Another first is the total of four network ports, two with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbit and two with 1 Gbit, which support separate networks, offer failover and load balancing. One of the ports is vPro-compatible and AMT-compatible and, in conjunction with a suitable processor, enables convenient remote management, even when the PC is switched off.

Shuttle Unveils XPC Barebone XH510G2 Desktop

The Mini-PC pioneer Shuttle is venturing to achieve the delicate balance between compactness and flexibility with the 4.7-litre design. It has produced a 9.5 cm flat Mini-PC Barebone for lots of Intel Core processors of the 10th & 11th generation which features two PCI Express slots. This means it can confidently compete directly with workstations from major manufacturers with a similar format.

As its base area is only 25 × 20 cm, smaller than a sheet of A4 paper, it fits almost anywhere. Even the overall height of 9.5 cm is regarded as flat and provides plenty of space, for example for Intel Core i9 processors, dual-slot graphics cards, 64 GB of RAM and three drives. "Probably the biggest advantage over other products in the market is the flexibility. Buyers can decide the details of which components they want to use and the choice of operating system," explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "From the entry-level version with scope for an upgrade, through to the maximum configuration level, with the XH510G2 you have almost free rein to decide on a surprisingly large number of features."

Shuttle Unveils DH32U and DH32U5 Quad-Display Barebones

Shuttle has been supplying reliable hardware for professional multi-display applications for many years now, and this is also demonstrated by the Taiwanese Mini-PC manufacturer's extensive network of partners and integrators. As of today, two more machines, based on the 11th generation of Intel Core processors, are now available for this very product category.

The two Barebones DH32U and DH32U5 are supplied with the processor already soldered on and just need to be equipped with drives and RAM, in accordance with the project requirements, and can then be used immediately. There is space for up to 64 GB of RAM, an NVMe SSD and a 2.5 inch drive. The Mini-PCs measuring just 19 × 16.5 × 4.3 cm (DxWxH) have an array of ports and can also be expanded with accessories from the Shuttle range. Spread across the front and back there are 4× HDMI 2.0b, 4× USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbit), 4× USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 Gbit), audio ports, 2× COM, 2× Gigabit Ethernet, a card reader and a remote power-on connection.

No more needing to compromise between productivity, performance, and gaming/video performance.

Shuttle Launches XPC Cube SH570R6, SH570R6 Plus and SH570R8

Today marks the simultaneous launch of three XPC cubes on the market on the European continent. The "XPC" series from the Taiwanese Mini-PC manufacturer has been impressing users since 2001 with its compact design and wide range of possible applications. The SH570R6, SH570R6 Plus and SH570R8 models are based on the Intel H570 chipset, which is suitable for Intel Core processors of the 11th generation (Rocket Lake) and 10th generation (Comet Lake). Shuttle states that the current top-performing model is the Intel Core i9-11900K with 125 Watt TDP, 8 cores, 16 threads, 16 MB cache and a turbo frequency of 5.3 GHz.

To match the comprehensive processor support, up to 128 GB of RAM, spread across four slots, can be installed. There are also very few upper limits when it comes to suitable mass storage devices. Fast NVMe SSDs can be fitted in the M.2-2280 slot and, thanks to the four SATA ports, so can the corresponding number of hard drives or SSDs. The R6 chassis provides space for two 3.5" data carriers (one internal, one external) and a 5.25" drive; the R8 model, by contrast, can be fitted with four internal 3.5" data carriers - with a corresponding adapter 2.5" formats are of course also suitable.

Shuttle Unveils Robust fanless PCs Based on the "Jasper Lake" Microarchitecture

Mini-PC pioneer Shuttle is currently marketing two space-saving Mini-PCs in a 1.3-litre format which are also very much at home away from the usual office environment. The DL20N and DL20N6 models are fanless Barebones from the "XPC slim" family in two different performance classes. The XPC slim DL20N version operates with an Intel Celeron N4505 dual-core processor. By contrast, Shuttle's DL20N6 features an Intel Pentium Silver N6005 processor with four CPU cores. The appropriate model can be chosen to suit the requirements of the project.

"Shuttle Barebones with this design, such as the predecessor DL10J, are, to our own surprise, being used in places that we would not necessarily have expected," explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "Their flexibility and reliability makes them ideal for kiosk, control and digital signage applications."

Shuttle Announces Fanless All-in-One PCs with Intel Core i3 processor

It was just over eleven years ago in spring 2009 that Shuttle launched its very first All-in-One PC in the form of the X50. A lot has happened since then. The model range has constantly evolved and has now become an established and important part of the Shuttle XPC product family we would not want to miss. Durability thanks to it being fanless, quiet running, low maintenance and flexible use - this sums up the X50 model range, which is now entering its seventh generation with the X50V7U3.

The machines in a 15.6-inch format (39.6 cm) are aimed less at customers from the B2C sector, but more at B2B target groups in different markets. The POS segment, in which the X50V7U3 may be used as a checkout system, for example, should be highlighted in particular. It benefits here from one particular feature: The whole front with the resistive touchscreen is protected in accordance with protection class IP54. This means the X50V7U3 is protected from dust and splashing of water, which confirms its robustness.

This even includes the versions with 6 cores and 12 threads. Reflecting this, two SO-DIMM slots permit the installation of 32 GB of DDR4 memory modules.

For the first time in this range, it is possible to support two monitors in 4K resolution with 60 Hz. For this purpose, an HDMI 2.0 and a DisplayPort 1.2 connector are available in each case. If required, despite the highly modern features, an analogue VGA connector can also be routed from the mainboard to the back of the device. Two of the three connectors can be used at the same time.

Shuttle XPCs Now Available with Kaby Lake Support

The new year now heralds the arrival of the 7th generation of the Intel Core processors at Shuttle. The first chips for the mobile segment appeared under the code name Kaby Lake back in the autumn of last year. The desktop version is now hitting the market in the first quarter of 2017. What Kaby Lake means for users is primarily more graphics performance coupled with lower power consumption. A BIOS update is required to make current Shuttle XPC Barebones compatible. An XPC with an LGA 1151 socket is also essential.
